When I was a kid I would listen to Gran Turismo 2 blasting through my TV all day on my PS1. Sometimes I wouldn't even race, just draw or play with my toys. I used to dream of owning a 90s Supra or RX7 and drive around my hometown. Man the memories!!!!

Gran Turismo music is the absolute pinnacle of any car/racing game music. I wish I had a PlayStation to play GT7. I played it all the time with my dad when I was little.

That's called nostalgia, some have fond memories of eating nutella toasts, some playing good games, watching good cartoons, they are just memories linked to a time when we were among people we love, time without worries (childhood), etc. Not really directly related to the media consumed at the time, more like a trigger for nostalgia.

I think the early 2000s had such a great thing going on in the world of acid jazz and fusion. It was pretty popular in the japanese video game space, judging by the OSTs that a lot of Dreamcast and PS2 games sported. Jamiroquai was still doing their lovely little thing over in London.
This Gran Turismo collection really shows off some of that video game music that I still can't get enough of.
Shout out to Mario Kart 8 for their excellent OST that draws a lot from jazz fusion.

• Your study/work stuff: your laptop/tablet/phone , a few pens, paper or whatever you need.⌨
•Anything else you could need, what about a heat pad, a blanket, a good lamp, your pet so you have a study buddy 🐈
Reminder : After an hour, you should stand up and walk a bit around. Better stop the music or put on different music for the break. Open your window, even if it's cold outside. Fresh air will make it better, trust me.
You could also lay your head down on your desk for ten minutes and listen to a podcast. Or, if you have to read a book, listen to the audiobook of it. You can also listen to the audiobook while doing another thing, that's even better than listening to music while reading the book.

This brought me back. I remember just browsing cars in the garage with my dad since we used the same save file, with Be At Home strumming along in the background. He'd show me his favorites, compare them to mine, and talk about the times he may have seen or worked on one or two.

The atmosphere of this series, especially GTV for me, is SO astonishing! I can't really describe it. Its just like pure perfection of cars in terms of engineering. Its like ideal representation of what cars is supposed to feel in creator's mind.

Sometimes I imagine I'm back at Christmas morning opening GT2... I played for like 2 days straight and loved every moment. Good times :) Jewel cases, load times, and memory cards. Too bad the GT series is essentially over but, 1-4 were simply amazing and so much fun!! (remember "fun" Polyphony ??)
I vividly remember playing GT3 in PS2 and just letting the 'Car Dealer' song play over, and over, and over again.
Played this game so often when I was 6 to 10 years old. I have a whole collection of good memories of me playing it with my older brothers. They would sometimes pull an all-nighter just to win a long race. It was really epic.

I used to play a lot of GT3-GT6 with my dad we can no longer play them because our ps2 and ps3 dont work anymore and I always go back and listen to their great soundtracks that bring back so many wonderful memories

the neat thing about this is that I had practically never played GT or see much of it on my own, but I heard some of the tracks here and immediately remembered some cause my dad used to play alot of the GT games (not as much right now) and sometimes he'd jus be on a menu screen or the car editing thingy or whatever it was in the games, and id listen in and take in that sweet ass music.
