Transmitter park, Radio Kootwijk || Winter 2021 || 4K

Walking tour through the former Radio Kootwijk transmitter park in the village of the same name in February 2021. During the walk we pass almost all important buildings and monuments of Radio Kootwijk. such as the iconic Art Deco building A (the Cathedral), the water tower, car garage C, buildings C, D, E, the former location of the radio telescope and the 50 KV station (transformer building including high voltage pylons). We also see the beautiful nature around Radio Kootwijk such as the Kootwijkerzand and the Hoog Buurlose Heide in the middle of the Veluwe.
In 2021, the area around Radio Kootwijk and part of the buildings are owned by Staatsbosbeheer. A number of buildings can be visited under the guidance of a guide. The 50KV station, building D and E were 'abandoned' during the shooting and are still looking for a new destination.

Gebouw is gebruikt in een Sci Fi Film, als ik het goed heb: Equilibrium met Christian Bale
Hier moet je geweest zijn, ademloos indrukwekkend !

Ik weet niet of het voor die film was. Maar voor de opname van een film is het plafond van gebouw A bespoten met een soort van spuitbeton. Achteraf gezien schijnt men hier niet zo blij mee te zijn.
