Daedalus80 Highlights

This is the highlights video from the weekend of the 8-9 June where Daedalus80 - the event to celebrate and remember the 80th Anniversary of D-Day delivered on behalf of Fareham Borough Council by Montserrat Events CIC.
The event was held on the on the historic former WWII airfield HMS Daedalus, Lee on the Solent, Hampshire; which is a significant place in the part of the overall 80th anniversary as it was the single busiest airfield on D-Day with 435 sorties.

An affordable family event for all to enjoy with a living history area for re-enactors to attend for the public to come, see and learn about WWII military equipment, services and it’s history, there will also be Static Aircraft, Flying Display with part portraying the history of the airfield including a Parachute Drop, Music, Field Gun Runs, Marching Bands, Funfair, Motorcycles Stunts, Period Vehicles and an Emporium.
