This was very informative, i'm in my mid 50's and have had RA for 42 years, 8 joint replacements due to the deformities. The knowledge and treatment has come such a long way from when i was first diagnosed which is fantastic to see.
To all the RA specialists, researchers, medical students, GPs , Physios and anyone else involved in making the lives of people with RA easier, i say Thank you very much.
Thank you, Nicy! 💖
Nicy Nu, I cured my own RA. Its the food we ate that caused the RA.
1) Avoid carbs and sugar ( It glycate our membranes and cells, and traces of round up chemical end up in our cells, and our immune system attack those)
2) Avoid all vegetables oils (peanut, canola, corn, grapeseed, flaxseed), because our cells start to incorporate those inflammatory lipid into our cells, and our immune system see it as foreign pathogen. Only take avocado oil, olive oil , bacon grease or beef tallow, because they dont oxidized as much and not inflammatory.
Hope this reach your and cured all your pain. No more RA pain for me since I adopted clean KETO and IF lifestyle.
Hi Nicy
Thanks for the great video. Keep up the good work! I hope you will do a video soon, explaining why being vegan is a moral imperative because it's great for human health, the environment, and of course, the animals, who are harmed so much in factory farming, terrified and alone at the end of their lives, which are cut short because of humanity's greed. Thank you for considering these points and to all of you who are reading this comment and already vegan.

Hello I am @Doctor_Ehichioya1 a great herbalist of all time. I had a great knowledge of herbs all around the world. I cured many people from severe diseases like herpes, Diabetes, cancer and other. Many celebrities took my help when modern medical treatments disappointed them. So what is your problem my dear ..??

Osmosis! You take what would have been hours and hours of looking at lecture notes to 12 minutes of 'I got it!' Many blessings to you for taking the stress out of studying. I can normally see your videos in exams.
Yes 🥰 it's
I wonder what source did you use to make this video, like books or journals.. I've been looking for this pathophysiology but I couldn't find a good one such like this. Amazing content! I love it!
As a patient with rheumatoid arthritis and as a patient educator (occupational therapist), I LOVE this video, this has the most visually appealing images and clear explanations I have seen! The only thing I would add is to the diagnosis section at 10:22 - it's not only blood work and X-rays, but according to my rheumatology team, the patient's medical history, subjective report and a physical exam are essential for diagnosing. Someone who has seronegative RA in particular may not have blood markers but may still have RA.
Can you suggest if i need to check if i have this auto immune disease? My mother and my brother have RA. I don't feel any joint of bone related problem, but my legs heart daily, but it is muscle pain. I also feel weakness and tiredness very much.
Hey ot !! I am also an Occupational therapy Student !
Thank you guys,great work !!
Hi new follower here
You guys make awesome vids. Wish I knew you guys back when I was a student.
I really recommend you guys making a video of how antibiotics work, that really gave me bad headaches back in the day (and still) especially of how it affects some and not others
Thank you I have no medical knowledge but this was so clear it made sense to even me. 👍
I took RA last year in pathology, but honestly I feel like I understand it a lot better now. Thank you so much for helping us and keep making great videos.
from indonesia?
At first it was a bit confusing but later towards the end of the video, I understood it (even though this topic is not taught for my age).
I have watched many osmosis videos, they usually explain basic concepts which I appreciate. BUT this one is just too perfect, and has everything reqd in my 4th year mbbs. thankyou so much. i have exam tomorrow.
Hi Kritika can one take HCQ when suffering the the similar kinda condition? Sorry I ain't from medical background.
@@ry8156 yes my mother is taking Hcq in RA.
@@kritikayadav1716 oh yeh even I was asking for my badi ma she has the similar kind of symptoms.. So was doing my part of research before we actually visit the doc.. BTW where are you doing your mbbs from?
@@kritikayadav1716 how long has your mum had RA?
After a life time of diagnosed with JuvenileArthritis, I got cured with the help of Dr Oyalo link here on CZcams and I’m completely free from it till now.
your videos help A LOT, if the premium version was possible in my country i would be the firt to get it
I just love how in this video she makes use of purple text for diagnosis and green for treatment. HAHA. That's exactly how I color code my notes :)
This helped a lot. Recently went to the doctor for persistent pain in my left hip, and part of the medical imaging noted cyst like growths and slight erosion around the socket part of that joint. Blood testing asked for rheumatoid factor, and was curious as to what that is
Thank you ,easy to understand.
Amazing , valuable presentation of RA I have ever seen and heard

We thank you a lot! Great explanation!
Not a doctor/not studying to become one but thanks for making a video on it I now understand my illness better! Question is Rheumatoid Arthritis different from Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis? Like are there any major key differences? Thanks.
Nope! Coming from a JIA patient, the only difference is what age you were diagnosed
You are a genius! Thank you for explaining in details.
I fkcn love you osmosis saved my college permanence so many times
Please continue making these amazing videos
I'm really thankful for this generously informative detailed video.

Great video explaining what rheumatoid arthritis is! Thanks for making this.
Thanks for appreciating our content! Glad to be of help!
Hello. I was diagnosed with RA when I was 44 years old. I am anti-CCP positive, my father had severe RA starting when he was 50 years old and my grandmother (father's mother) was bedridden for 13 years from RA.
Just want to thank you for this video was done very well.
My only advice on this video is to mention that some people with RA do not present as clearly as you describe. I had red, swollen and inflamed extremely painful joints, but they were NOT always on both sides at the same time, especially in the beginning symptoms, this led to a delay in my diagnosis as most doctors are taught that it resides on both sides.
Many times, my flares would start in one joint for about 4 to 5 days, then a few days later show up in the other side's joint and be much less painful/swollen.
Just wanted to add this for anyone who is having difficulty getting diagnosed.
Thank you for your incredible video, so much appreciated!!!

As an over middle aged doctor, I want to remind this topic to myself and wishing to absorb everything in this lecture but rather finding a difficulty because of your rapidity of presentation, word pacing a little too fast whilst phrasing gaps a little too long, ortherwise being excellent.BTW thank so much for all of your very useful lectures.
I suffered in pain and had several broken bones. I started a plant base diet and feel so much better.
Pamela how did go about it. My mum is really in great pain and am helpless.
My mother has RA and my brother too do i need to check if i have this auto-immune disease? I dont have any joint related issues. Although leg muscles hurt almost daily.
Thank you very much for your clear explanation
two words: just perfect !!

Thanks to dr. Oziegbe for curing my sister of R.A .
Thank you very much! It is so helpfull and easy explained
After a weary search in CZcams abt RA patho physiology, found a perfect answer:)
sooo helpful explaination .
im so thankful for you osmosis
Osmosis is really helpful for better learning.
I was diagnosed with RA in February and honestly it's horrible some days I'm fine while others I feel like I can't get out of bed.
I feel for you.
Have you ever tried intermittent fasting. Or fasting of any kind? Extended fasting? Juice fasting?
And when eating, Eliminating ALL grains (not just gluten free) and other foods especially Processed foods, refined sugar.
And Getting some good probiotics to heal the gut.
These things can reduce pain and inflammation for some people. It is worth a try.
I have RA. For many years. I've not completely got rid of it. But i do the above things that i mentioned and it does help reduce the inflammation and pain quite a bit. I am still working on healing completely. I'm sure there is more to it and
I am sure for myself personally there's emotional and spiritual reasons as to why I do not always stick with the things I've mentioned.
But I assure you everytime I've implemented fasting, my symptoms reduce significantly.
Recently I had a big flare up.
Really bad. In tears. Hard to walk.
I didn't want to go on steroids which is the usual approach when in a bad flare.
I feel the flare up was due to me basically not taking care of myself properly, eating unhealthily, too much sugar and under a lot of emotional stress. A lot. Maybe there's other reason too. But don't know. It was my first flare in a very long time.
I immediately went to intermittent fasting and cleaning my diet up. Fresh Juicing every day. I did a 40 hour water fast too.
And Taking time to meditate to lower stress.
Within a week the swelling in my knees reduced a lot and the fiery pain all over my body calmed Down a lot too. And 2 weeks on still intermittent fasting, juicing, eating cleanly, only veggies and fruit, some fish, grass fed beef, good fats like olive oil, coconut oil, avocado.
symptoms reduced even more so.
It is worth a try. Please give it a try.
I am still working on healing completely. I'm sure there is more to it for me to completely heal. But I know we can heal from it. There is an answer.
I do not believe that there is "no cure" as the medical field says.
I hope you find answers and get better.
Be strong, don't give up.
Do not listen to these people. There is excellent results from therapy, including disease modifying agents such as methotrexate and monoclonal antibody therapy. If you haven't already a rheumatologist can help you get back to being as best as you can!
I know what you are talking about. I felt the same. Until I found other way to treat it. back2lifeagain helped me a lot!
@@ianjones6095 are you saying do not listen to me. What people are you referring to?
Drugs can be a life saver for some, I'm not disputing that. But for me and for some other RA sufferers, drug therapy doesn't seem to work enough.
I have been on every drug out there for RA. Methotrexate, Imuran, Plaquinil, gold, remicade infusions, prednisone, on and on etc. And it has never stopped the disease or cured it or give me my life back. I have bad joint damage. I Have always had symptoms. I've had an aggressive kind of RA.
What was your RF facor if you don't mind me asking?
So useful Thank you osmosis❤️
