IU is currently 27 or 28 and started producing her own music at the age of 15, being one of, if not the most popular solo artist in South Korea. In her current album she is experimenting with different types of music. If you watch her performances, I suggest “Blueming”, “hold my hand” or “bbibbi” live, you will see how happy and free she is, like she owns the stage. Incredible talent and musician, and such a fun person to watch and listen to. Thank you for the reaction.

Usually when she isn't all dressed up and is just casual with a hoodie it means that she's doing a encore after show so those songs aren't at the line up and are fans requests so she doesn't even trained to sing witch is really impressive

I went to her concert in 2019 and yes, the encore was almost 2 hours and mostly she's been taking requests from the crowd 🥺 Sis really be out there on 4 hour concerts by herself.

I love how Justin acknowledged that maybe a fan just requested the song spontaneously. When you see her, wearing casual clothes, that's her doing the en-encore hahaha. Sometimes she does the reencore for more than 1 hr
I think she mentioned her record for encore was over 2 hours. She mentioned her manager once told her “I’m just gonna head out. It’s too late for me to stay behind with you.”
@@bandi138138 i think at the end of her dlwlrma concert, she did more than 4 hour encore. She started at 5 and ended at 10, her staff started getting hungry 😂 and pls correct me if I'm wrong

she is one of the most respected and popular female "ARTIST" in korea. She is the only korean artist to have 21 songs a perfect all-kill achievement in the korean music charts.

One of the most memorable performances is IU's Through the Night & Dear Name MMA 2017
Queen. My fav song of her new album is my sea .
Regarding the singer's self-confidence and mental mind, you should react to IU's Killing Voice, those days she worked full file can only sleep more than two hours a day and she was a lot of emaciation, recording also suffered from rhinitis, but she still completed a surprising live performance.
Finally an IU reaction, I've been waiting for a one... You don't react to much of IU songs. 😭 few recommendation of her recent songs, My Sea, Coin, Lilac & IU's Killing Voice on Dingo Music are must react... if you go back to her old songs there are countless songs. She is topping the K Pop charts every time she release a new song. Please React to IUs songs more often. she is an amazing artist. She write her own lyrics, compose her songs and some time even involved in production also.

@ 4:20 (also 6:04, 12:31, and 13:23),, that was actually during her "en-encore stage" (1-2hrs of encore after her 3hrs proper concert) where she accepts requests from fans (and band).
The song that she sang like a disney movie with the breathier tone is called as ending scene. Jungkook also cover that song so beautifully. I hope you react to it.

If you focused more on "mental state" of singing, I think you should look more into IU's lyrics and backstory, and her attitude in stage...
(1)her lyrics like 60% or more are about herself... She has "age series" in 23, palette, eight, and Lilac where her self-written lyrics told us how her self-development in that age... (for example). There're so much to dissect from her lyrics, since her songs are related to each other, and she often referencing to past songs in her current song.
(2)If you follow her from the start of her career, you'll understand that while she is a very strong live stage singer, she's never a super technical diva. Instead she's very creative in her way of using her voice/ her tone; and her emotional singing - enunciation help too ...
(3)About self-critic, she also has talk abt this, she's a harsh critic for herself (at least this is what she said in past interviews, maybe now she'll think differently)
(4)Not many, but there are some heartwarming videos abt how IU's attitude when she failed to reach a note or slightly offkey.
In many ocassions she'll apologizes honestly and cutely to the band and to audience. Some cases she would re-do that notes, even to twice or three times (!!!), in that stage.
(5)I dont know if you know, but IU's status in S.Korea is already a legendary act, even from at least 2-3 years ago. And this is NOT JUST bcs of her vocal technique, its more about how she and her songs have become "comfort" for S.Korean. I cant explain this good enough, but in short, IU is much... much more than just good voice and cute face.
It is because of her vocal technique as well...it’s naive to discount her technique at this point in her career. She’s proven herself very capable to sing with whatever technique she needs/wants to use each time given the needs of a particular song, performance space, etc...
