You can place Philo Gloriosum outdoors but under a tree or partial shade. Be repairs for humongous leaves. Used Systemic in soil. Your soil amendments works for your environment. The right way to grow plants is the way plants grow. Environments are different for everyone. The Plant Lounge is growing gracefully gorgeous. 🪴Happy Planting🌿

Your plant is stunning! Thank you for sharing it.
I happen to be loving my Gloriosum as well. It has been growing outside since the summer and then in January we were getting some very cold nights. I brought him inside and decided that I was going to keep him indoors until march or April, because I love him too much. BUT… My baby HATED indoor living! It stopped producing new leaves, some turned yellow and died, he was doing nothing. I took him back outside over a week ago and I can already see that he’s pushing a new leaf 🥹 I’m sensing that mine likes the temperature drops at night and it’s peculiar. 🤷🏽‍♀️ Still, Such a cool plant!
    Xoxo, thanks for sharin

Thanks for sharing and watching. What part of the world are you in. I think it’s pretty impressive that you are able to grow yours outside. I just know it looked stunning before your brought it in the house. Keep it up and listen to those plant babies.

I am in Northern Florida :D The “winter” here is comparable to spring time in the northeast, to me. But it is common for the temperature drops to into 40s from Dec to March. I feel privilege because I could never and would never keep my plants outside in my old place during the colder seasons (New York City). 😅

I’m so glad I found this video. I just chopped mine up. The leaves were turning yellow, the soil seemed wet all the time, and yet when I took it out of the pot,the soil was dry and shallow. Now I have 3 plants and I’m hoping for at least one to thrive.

Good luck with the last plant. I think the key is a well draining soil or if you have wet soil then it need to be in a bright indirect light situation.

Congrats, Pam! Totally agree with previous comment - you've proven we don't need a cabinet, lights, fans and humidifiers to grow this stunning plant, if you're willing to put in the work! I know you've given lots of us the confidence to try this beauty now. What a wonderful success story; you definitely should be proud! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽🏆🪴💚💚💚

Hi Lisa! Honestly, I did not know that people are growing this plant In cabinets. I don’t have one and so I try to stay away from plant that require that high humidity. I was on the fence as to if I should be doing this video or not. I’m glad I did now. Also this is off topic but Girrrrrl….. I love that pot and the plant. So so so loving that vibe.

Hi there. Thanks for watching! Trust me if I was able to bring this plant back from where it started, then I am confident that yours will thrive as well. I encourage you to get one and try it. As you can see mines didn’t need to be in a cabinet or anything. This plant is more resilient than I even thought. Happy Planting!

I’m not sure but it may have something to do with the watering routine and or the temperature change.
