The first time I played subnautica i had no idea what the Mesmer was, so I thought that it was a fish you could pick up and cook. And whenever it said “your primary directive is to swim closer” that gave me chills
I don't know why the bleeder made me so uncomfortable, but being fully drained must be... oof

When I saw a lily paddler for the first time, I thought it looked sooo cool. To me, it looked like a sea dragon, which is one of my favorite animals. Whenever I swam over to the creature to get a better look, it turned around made my vision all weird

The trivalve and snow stalker baby is so cute
What I find cool is that Mesmers will actually hypnotize other creatures. I watched one hypnotize a Boneshark once and when the Boneshark swam closer, the Mesmer actually attacked it and the Boneshark swam off.
Also, because I’m insane and a bit depraved, in Below Zero, I have an aquarium full of Symbiotes that I sometimes release other fish into. Gotta feed your pets after all.
Also, fun fact, the Trivalve’s appearance is based on a very early design for the Sea Monkey.

You forgot two, the baby snow stalker has a different reaction if you feed it a Preston's Delight. You can interact with the adult snow stalker by slowly approaching it with a Preston's Delight, you can feed it and it wont attack you for a little while

The Mesmer and Lily Paddler make me violently uncomfortable for 2 reasons.
One hypnotizes you to try and take a bite, oh it can also apperantly alter electronics because you get a super neat message for scanning one, which makes me think that they're smart in some way.
The other one just scares the shit out of me because having an acid trip, in an alien ocean at night is how he ended up on the number one slot of my top 10 anime betrayals
