Good luck, we got PR before arriving and that definetly changed our experience a lot I would say. It’s definetly worse now than ever before but coming from the UK it’s a lot better I would say. Once you break into the local job market I think it’s smooth sailing from then on out. That’s been our experience and salaries have been great and quality of life is much higher than the UK! We have recently received our citizenship and it’s such a nice feeling! Especially crossing into the USA without having to provide biometrics and just staying in your car 2 seconds on your way makes crossing so much easier . Doing our weekly shopping in Costco down in NY and that offsets some of the cost of living increase for sure! Keep grinding you are on a good path mate. It’s worth it in the end.
