@midastouch4323: This is definitely one of Natalie Cole's best songs and one of the most beautiful ever recorded. It expresses her love for brazilian Bossa Nova and her coastal L.A. I can relate to that as I'm from a coastal/beach area too. Try to listen to it next or after Rufus & Chaka Khan's "Destiny"...
WOW! Natalie sings it just as well live as on the album and she looks fabulous. Truly one of my favorites of hers. Wish she was still here making wonderful music.
I remember this song very well from Natalie Cole's television special in 1978, I would cross paths with the song again in its full entirety on the LP record first and tape cassette it second in 1985-1986, then come across present day's CZcams videos featuring other singers performing this in various styles (including Jorge Dalto and Sheila Ford)-there WAS a video like this one, but it was shorter after the guitarist performed his solo interlude.
The majesty of this moment was magical. I was a little boy in the projects of SW DC and I didn't understand how she could look this beautiful AND sparkle AND be so elegant AND pour jazz into and all over this song, but she was a soul SANGER! I was MESMERIZED and this is my favorite song of all time AND my favorite performance OF ALL TIME! Cissy and Anita looking divine in yellow and @AzizaMiller (then Linda Williams), the co-writer on piano. DIVINE!
Thanks for giving us a clean video. I watched this clip before, but it was blurry. Nataile Cole was indeed a "sophisticated lady" pure class and elegance, and those eyes❤
I love this video and song so much. This is one of my favorite songs. My mom use to play this song. She passed away. This song reminds me of her and the good old days. This song almost made me cry because I miss those days. Thank you so much for posting this.

Are you saying that's Cissy Houston and Anita Baker baking her up?
@@terkstevens7971I believe her backup singers were Cissy Peoples and Anita Anderson.
Natalie was so pretty during these years. She just had the most beautiful face. I was hooked the first time I heard her live. So elegant and classy.

Feels so Samba....I love it! Natalie was underrated.
@benajminpadilla6360: It was inspired by brazilian Bossa Nova that Natalie loved so much.
