I don't really know anything about film making. (The little that I do know is from talking to Alex). But I was wondering, wouldn't the actors actually playing monopoly make the shot more natural and realistic?

Yes and no. Yes because they are being natural and the scene looks good. No because the continuity becomes a problem.
