Why did you choose to go with an axe style handle with the wedge, as opposed to a more traditional style tomahawk handle that you slide the head onto? Your anvil is cool too

А вы знаете, кстати, что топоры и прочие изделия из железа индейцы не производили, а покупали у белых? И те же белые потом ставили там кузни и ремонтные мастерские для упряжи и оружия)).

Древко то все сгнившее, но клин видно где стоял. Я всегда думал что это делали из-за экономии железа.. А похоже и правда чтоб не ржавело... Тогда все встает на свои места. У них интересно топорики насажены. Древко обмотано кусочком кожи, а внутрь вбит металлический клин.

На маленьких проушинах я віддаю перевагу залізним, на великих дерев'яним.
стальной лучше дерево поджимает. если проушина небольшая, то стальной клин предпочтительнее.
