Hi coach, your approach is correct, but since he played in China he lost against almost everyone in WTT events, I haven't seen any improvement in his game between the final from 2021 and the Olympics. I think the game against Wang Chuqin gave him confidence: he had nothing to lose since he already lost 8 times to Wang, he made some excelent rallies that gave him confidence and focus and won the match. Then he gained even more confidence, since his head 2 head against Omae Assar was 0-2 and he also had negative record against Hugo. I think everything was his high confidence and morale.
Well these reasons are way too generalistic, ofc china super league gave him good expirience but what made him play so well and able to beat WCQ is his unconventional plays:
1) his backhand punch, making it very hard for those backhand-backhand rallies coz noone is used to it and its uncomfortable to block or spin those punches back
2) his chopblock, giving him a passive push ball as response which is easy to take over the attack and kill the ball
3) wide angle play, he played very wide angles to move the opponent and then punch a fast ball down the line, making it very hard even for the best chineese players to stay in the rally with quality
these specialities made him strong, alongside good confidence and very good security on all his shots
is he the 2nd best in the world now? ofc not, there are many other good players equally strong as him (Harimoto, Felix, Calderano and ofc the top Chineese) and only time will tell if he can be more consistent in future tourneys from now
Hi coach! So I’m doing excellent with my drills and footwork, but should i workout my Legs, Core, and back? To improve? Also about hitting by the legs does that mean moving for forearm a little bit or don’t move it at all?
He trained in China and participated in China championship. That's why.

Truls lost 7 out of his 8 previous matches before Olympics, 1 good run and he is the guy ? It's about consistency not a 2 weeks run. The reality is that he will probably go back to the same results he had all year long. He is better than his previous results but he got destroyed by Harimoto just after his single silver medal, Kallberg gave them the silver, not him. That is the definition of an overhyped player.
Nar Truls is a great player, and haters are gonna hate. How many more finals in major events will he have to make before you think he is a good player ??
