Unbelievable example of globlization. In 1993, Freiderich Deckel AG and Maho AG merged to form Decker Maho. In 1994 Gildemeister AG acquired Deckel Maho AG and formed Deckel Maho Gildemeister (DMG). In 2009, DMG signed strategic partnership with the Japanese Mori Seiki and by 2015 the Japanese have bought out DMG. And Japan now has to import the Mori Seiki machines from Germany. :-)

it was a big mistake they had so many problems with their DMG MORI SEIKI line just do a browse on machinio they sell for nothing
also after the merge they were building DMG DMC in china another terrible idea
now their brining Fanuc with the turning centers and turn mills which is just nuts

"Day 28"? Forget the price of the machine. Pretty sure the Transportation costs and handling of all that mass of material and pallets is over a hundred grand right there.

i mean if you're not scrooge mcduck then you're not going to be buying a 5 axis Mori bridge mill the size of a studio apartment anytime soon.

This one is for XXL parts? I would agree for L, maybe XL. True XXL machines would have operator housing bigger than table in that machine. From the other hand, real size of machine with all peripheries is huge.

Man kann nicht meckern, wenn man diese Maschine sieht. Darf man fragen was man mit dieser Maschine in Japan herstellen will? Werden es Windraeder sein? Windraeder in Serie?
