- Newport Sea Fishing in Winter. Join me as I have my first proper session of the year at one of my favourite UK Shore Fishing marks. Due to illness and bad weather, I wasn't able to get out for weeks and boy did I need this one! A cold and frosty evening but enjoyable all the same. With the Bristol Channel Cod Fishing season in full swing, there was always that chance of a good fish.

Got to say that video may have been quite, but it was the best I have ever seen, I think of my parents when I,m out fishing, gives me a warm feeling inside. I subcribed and joined your channel for the enjoyment I get from them. Its about the whole experience of the day, memories and not just the fish , which to me is what angling is all about
I use to love going to the fishing shows in auditoriums back in the early 70s. Big screen fishing show way before cable and the internet.

Don't ever stop mate , I love watching your vids , it's not all about the light or camera angles it's about the personality of the guy that's doing it , you do a great job, I've just come back to fishing at the age of 68 , only been 3 times and blanked every time , I now live in France but am originally from Pontypool, only do river fishing and am hoping one day to actually catch a fish but like you say it's just being out there and enjoying it.
Yeah John Wilson was in my opinion the guy who really took angling to another level with the "go fishing channel" great man
