What a sweet village!!!!! I love it!!!! Thank you so much for sharing!!!!!
Thank you so much!
I did this last year with the ceramic colorful Christmas houses form the Dollar Store. I did put glitter snow on the roofs too. Then I took a very large tall oversize lantern, and put three tiers of hard white Styrofoam inside in a cantilever style with the tallest in back. Then added a couple of houses on each level with various bottle brush trees and twigs sprayed white. Tilted the lantern back and sprinkled in bag snow before closing the door. Ooopps, forgot.... added twinkle lights before adding the bag snow so they glow under the snow! It turned out so great and everyone loved it so much, I had to have a craft night for my friends so they could all make one for themselves.
What great ideas!! Love this!
I’m not a fan of repainted Christmas houses, but this really looks good! You did a good job of making it look classy.
Hi Jennifer, Donna here! What a beautiful, precious little Christmas village! May I suggest putting some fairy lights in the snow? Thank you for sharing!
love the white
I have those same houses, from walmart. And another set almost the same from Dollar Tree. I painted and glittered mine too.
I bet they are gorgeous!
Be sure and use inexpensive brands of houses! The “Dept. 56” brand is too collectible and worth too much on the secondary market to paint over!
So true! Our thrift stores sells them for $50 a piece!
Looks beautiful!
Same with Snow Village.
And Dickens Village
They are painted really well as compared to these. I agree don't do it to collections
I LOVE your snow village. Absolutely great idea. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you! 🤗
You have such lovely taste.
Thank you so much
So much better
I'm so glad to find this page. They are beautiful. I have a paper mache 2 story house that I've wanted to do like this. I've seen some that painted pink, blue, gray etc. All over glitter. Most are Antique. Not sure what color to paint this house.
Well, do a color that makes you happy!
What a difference the raw umber made…..TFS
Right?! Thank you for watching!
I did a nativity set the same way, minus the glitter. Took an inexpensive set and made them elegant.
I bet it was stunning!
I’m going to do that I have tons of old houses thrown in a box. Thanks
Thank you so much for including the information on Department 56 houses. I was wondering if you were using those.
Yes I am!
Wow I just saw this village at goodwill!they were 3 to 5 dollars!what a great!transformation
Sounds like craft time for you!
Beautiful house Jennifer, great idea. Could you do the same with nativity set? Thank you
I am sure you could!
fab
Check out thrift stores for these houses.
I have all my Mom’s village pieces…all were inexpensive. Think I’ll update them !!
I saw another tutorial. That you can paint ceramic with chalk paint ! Then wax. Or spray on top coat. So any ceramic you have. You can change to finish to match your decor.
That is a great idea!
I would have left them as they were but added the snow to the roof
What kind of white spray paint did you use, gloss or flat? I love this idea!
It was a flat sheen.
That is precious. I've got to start looking for some little houses. Thank you for sharing all your good ideas. By the way, do you sell the ribbon from your store online?
We are hoping perhaps next year we can sell ribbon online!
I already have a village for 30 years. Generic so not valuable my granddaughter and I will do it as she loves a craft project. She is 7. It should be fun.
Great idea!
L I K E 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍✳✴✳✴✳✴✳😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
Why not say Merry Christmas
Oh, I say both for sure! Thank you for watching.
