Y'all gotta remember, when Odin banished Thor to Earth in the first Thor movie, he had already stripped him of all his powers/invulnerabilities/demigod-hood... rendering Thor a mortal man and able to die like any regular human on Earth. 💀 R.I.P the Avengers of this earth. Also the reason the arrow killed him was because in the first movie when he was banished to Earth he was turned mortal until he was worthy of the hammer again at the end.
@@enyaandishara There’s a difference between powerless Thor from Thor 1 and hammerless Thor from Thor 3. When Odin banished him he didn’t just take away his hammer he took away his POWERS. That includes his natural asguardian durability and strength. He was essentially just a really buff human in Thor 1. In Thor 1 we see his skin get pierced by a needle at the hospital which means an arrow could definitely get through. In Thor 3 he looses his hammer but he doesn’t loose his powers. He still has all his natural asguardian abilities. Hence why he’s so much more durable. A normal arrow probably wouldn’t be able to break his skin In Thor 3. An easy way to show the difference is in Thor 1 he’s almost killed when the destroyer smacks him. He only survived because the hammer detected him becoming worthy and so came back to him. Compare that to Thor 3 where he survived multiple hits from the hulk and comes out practically unscathed.

the reason the ancient one was a white woman was because they didn't want to continue using the racist ancient asian martial arts wizard trope. so to avoid doing that they just whitewashed the character, instead of i don't know, writing a new one. Also i'm pretty sure i read that while the star panther episode was the chadwick centered episode, black panther still shows up in another few episodes, so he does appear again.
One thing I did with this episode specifically is that I didn't read the title before watching it. I knew the title would be a spoiler, and I think I enjoyed it the episode more without knowing that. I'm going to try to keep that up for the rest of the season. I think is a good idea for most people to try doing that.
Nice reaction and detective work on figuring out it was the Pyms even though you had it in reverse. Also on knowing Loki would try to Takeover without Avengers to stop him. Looking forward to part 2 of this, if there is one!

I was lost at first too. Batman was not a bad guess. It just goes to show you that an inside job can be the biggest threat. I never thought Ant Man until Widow pulled up Janet Van Dyne. Don't forget Thor was being punished and was stripped of his powers in that first movie. This was good. They concealed the twist well and gave us a plausible explanaition. Candace Patton is ovely but Iris is DC, Marvel should bring Paula Patton to the MCU. 💀

Black Widow tells a story in Winter Soldier about getting shot by the Winter Soldier in Odessa. Pretty sure Bucky killed Hope in this timeline. EDIT: Thor got tased by Darcy and then Jane hit him with a car, but the car didn't go through his heart. Even in this he was still strong enough to tear through all those SHIELD agents as an Asgardian without his Thor powers, but he's still killable. 💀
Btw the reason they made the ancient one white was because in the comics the character is a Tibetan sorcerer but China currently claims Tibet is a part of China and not their own separate country. So to avoid calling the character Chinese or Tibetan in the film they chose to just make the character a white Irish or Celtic woman so the Dr strange film could play in China. They censor big time there and if they called the character Tibetan like the comics the film probably couldn't be played in China

The arrow thing struck me as weird too. It was almost like they didn't put much effort into it. I don't know if Thor was ever snatching arrows like Loki can, but it just seems like with all of his battle experience and Asgardioness that it would have taken at least a tiny bit more effort to take him down. I mean if that's the case then I stand a fair chance of beating Thor if I just bring a pointy little stick. Also, I don't think these are all happening in the same timeline.
