Time stands still when Mike takes his solo. This will be ahead of its time forever.
Yup NO ONE on the big stages was playing like THAT
The funny thing is they always said Miles had the best bands. Whether it was to record Kind of Blue or Bitches Brew. Or Live at the Plugged Nickel. Miles had some dogs in his catalog and most of those dogs aged well. More appreciation of his vision later. One truth abounds, Miles had the ear. Shalom
Yes, about Mike. just a great band, Miles playing a lot of chromatic crap.Mike Stern rises above all Miles' dribble.
Bob Berg "RIP", you did so much in such little time, genius.......

This is a gem. Incredible.
Stern just attacks those high notes like a barbarian.
Pure creative genius. The entire universe, expressing itself--- as this.
Love Miles back there directing.
Great solo from Bob Berg coming out of the guitar solo too. Man. Always great to hear Mike and Bob together.

Amazing all round.
Berg & Stern, they just picked up right after their stint with Miles. I’m glad Miles brought Stern back in after 83 for a few more gigs. Stern got his stuff together got slim.

Chicago's own Angus Thomas on bass.
Wiki says he was born in 1953, so around 32!
His solo was insane

Magic Davis
There was some Metheny in that Stern solo, it seemed.
Mike studied with Pat at Berklee. Pat and Mick Goodrick were big influences on Mike.

The tune title is Something's on Your Mind
Thanks Guitar Gangsta.
That's D Train...He has some Native American in him. This cover isn't magic by accident.

Mikes melancholic introvert style does not go together with md funky band.anyway excelent guitarist.
i dont understand its space time miles davis way ahead.
Not so focused as Miles Groupon 2 years later and on
1987 was one of Miles's best years, no doubt.
Check out Mike's tites 😎😅
))) where is music, only scales )))) IMO bullshit - not music
It must be so joyless to live with a mind so closed. You have my pity.

Qué bueno que Miles sea todavía incomprendido. Quiere decir que sigue siendo muy actual siempre adelante a su tiempo y a todo tiempo futuro ❤
HORRIBLE
GEEK BOY
