Gag Grouper fishing at the Skyway

Caught this beautiful 24inch Gag Grouper off the sunshine skyway fishing pier. This Gag was quickly released back into its natural habitat after the vid had ended... Sorry for having such low quality vids I promise I'll get a GoPro soon! Lol Hope ya enjoy!!

Gag grouper season opens June 1 and ends Dec. 31. Gag grouper season will open June 1 for recreational fishing across most state waters of the Gulf of Mexico, and across all federal waters in the gulf. The gag grouper season will end Dec. 31, according to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC)

What kinda setup were you using? I mainly do inshore fishing for reds, trout and snook so my setups are way too light for this kinda action lol.

Chris T lol yes! You can't take on one of these brutes with light setup.. The set up that I used in this vid was a fin-nor lethal 100 paired with a 8ft custom seeker rod
