I loved Chris! And seeing how happy it makes you to have a friend who embraces your passion is really uplifting. I had a friend take the time to let me introduce BTS to her because she understood what it was like to also be head over heels for a band as well. (She's a Twenty One Pilots fan) and it really just meant the absolute world to me that she was willing to sit down and watch a few meme videos, and even a concert of theirs. That little bit of support really goes a long way.

I loved this! I agree w/what I've read so far about what to have him listen to next: Not Today. I also believe the majority of us have the same situation happening in terms of our friends think we're crazy for listening to BTS. I have converted one friend so far & it's the most amazing thing to have someone else know exactly what you mean when you can't explain why you love BTS in words. Can't wait to see more of his journey too! 💜💜💜

@@JohnReavesLive Once you get him through those two songs, hit him with a few of the rap line songs - cyphers and ugh are good - and since he perked up with Jimin, throw Tony Montana by Agust D and Jimin at him... though that one will likely get blocked on YT so it will have to go on patreon.
Idol is one of the best dances they do. But when you watch Blood, Sweat and Tears you can hear their steps sound as one unit. Their dancing is great but their singing live is crazy. Tokyo Dome is crazy good too, that was what you were watching.

Good for you man, i won't even bother showing BTS to my buddies (i am a 30+ year old guy), because i know it just won't work :D It's easy to enjoy them as artists and humans if you just clear your mind of any judgement, which is hard for many people.

I'm so happy that your friend liked the performance and wants to see more of them. It's hard to find someone in your inner circle that really understands you when it comes to BTS. Would love to see him on your next reactions. ln RM's recent interview with Pharell for Rolling Stones, he said that BTS wants to make sure that they always deliver a quality show and performance bec they value every person who buy their concert tickets (waiting in line to buy a ticket is like the hunger games) and travelling to see them live. He's such a thoughtful idol.

Can I just say how much I loved how open minded he was. I just can't understand people judging other's taste in music so harshly especially a friend. My best friend loves hard core metal songs and even though I it's not my preference I still love to see how much she loves the music, I'm never going to be the friend that says ew why are you listening to that kind of music. I also agree that your "friends" who are criticizing you for listening to BTS have never actually listened to their music. I just think it's a shame with so many men they see BTS only as 7 handsome guys who make poppy music for little girls and it's weird for them to even like their music so they just don't even bother giving it an actually listen. I'm really hoping with their solo work it opens more people up to BTS as a whole.

I listened to IDOL a dozen of time before I realized that this is their ACCEPTANCE song, like they were confused on what they are. The marching feel of this song implies this. It's like they're having this grand parade showing people what they have become. Coming into their own.
I rarely comment, but you, sir, have compelled me. I love your channel so much for the fact that you have an open mind, and it seems like you keep some amazing company who maintain similar values. Thank you so much for having a judgement free space 💜 That being said, I think a good way to continue to bring Chris into ARMY is to show him your favorite vocal performances. Perhaps by Jin only, since he is your bias? Just to start, of course. The entire team is talented af so I have no doubt you will do a good job introducing them. I like to showcase individual songs and point out the things I find special about them - the Lyrics, the double meanings, the dance, the vocal quality, the emotion, the technical details, etc.

As for suggestions... I would suggest mixing it up. Ugh from the Rap Line; House of Cards from the Vocal Line; Black Swan; Danger; Run BTS; Airplane pt2; Home; Blue and Grey; and the GoGo Dance Practice. That should give a good mix to start with.💜
Of course you could go all out and show him the Yet To Come Busan Concert (some reactors have managed to show it okay). Or Permission To Dance. Or an awards show, though some will say he's not ready.

And that's not counting their solo songs, OSTs, or collabs. And I could have added ON The Kinetic Manifesto Film ( my first introduction to BTS) and Otsukare by Sope. Or Magic Shop. Or... Knowing where to stop is hard💜😂
I love watching people get hit by the Jimin Effect - it's something we've all felt. But recently I've been seeing reactors fall victim to the Taehyung Effect. Together they are truly deadly 💜😂

I showed my mom (in her 60s) a couple BTS songs and she's not interested but she did point out Jimin. Nobody escapes the Jimin effect.
I accidently became a huge BTS fan about 2 years ago. Since the very first video I watched I have not been able to stop, I became obsessed to learn who was who, their names etc. In doing so I fell in love with every single thing about them. I turned 60 this past April. I drove to Las Vegas and went to their permission to dance concert by myself. It was the funnest thing I have ever done. Thank you for your channel and not caring about what people say. No one including myself can believe how obsessed I am about BTS. They have changed my life. I love you too John, I hope I can catch a live.
