Yoonmin is one of the few ships where both are extremely subtle, but when you pay attention, you see a lot of affection secretly being exchanged back and forth. It gives the fans a different sort of ship to fangirl over 😂 there are many moments where Jimin gets too excited in the moment, and he will turn around to cup Yoongi's face in his hands, but will suddenly stop and look at the camera. There are also a lot of quiet comments they drop here and there that hint at how close they are. Yoongi was said that he used to cook for Jimin all the time when they were younger, apparently they go to arcades together a lot, and Jimin even gave Yoongi's parents' cafe his own personal gift instead of joining in on BTS's collective gift.
I believe it just seems like a much more realistic "hidden" relationship sort of thing, and that's why it is SUCH a popular ship despite not being very obvious. A lot of new fans don't really get the hype about Yoonmin until they've seen a lot of BTS videos. They're not blatantly doing it for fanservice, and it's not like how the other members say suggestive things in obviously joking ways, they really seem like they're hiding affection.
And it's so frustrating because all the yoonmin shippers are just like: JUST HUG EACH OTHER ALREADY AND HOLD HANDS.

I'm pretty sure the closest friendship is Tae and Jimin. They're all close, but bc Tae and Jimin are the same age, there is no difference in speech level so they are even closer. At fansigns fans often ask, "What does Tae/Jimin mean to you" and they always pic "best friend" and even "Soulmate". I think they're the closest in BTS :)

Just floating around tae was the first person who talked to jimin when he moved to Seoul and they went to the same highschool, jimin was always looking out for tae and vice versa so yea Tae and JM are the closest friends in bts. Even bts themselves have said so.

YES MY FAVORITE SHIP. This is the one I feel could actually be legit. Jikook is mainly just bromance, since they admire each other and cling to each other a lot, but with Yoonmin, it's more subtle and meaningful I think. I just have a good detector, and I'm getting strong vibes from Yoonmin lol

I liked the accidental Yoonmin Vlive where Taehyung was going from room to room interviewing and showing the hotel rooms. Jimin was supposed to be V's roommate, but was bunking with Yoongi instead. There was also the question asked of the hyungs as to which maknae they favored, Rapmon chose V, Jin said Jungkook and Suga picked Jimin...Hobi said he loved everyone. (That why he always alone in fanfics!) BTS have also said Jimin can wake up Yoongi without getting killed...it's so sad when your village decides to sacrifice you to a grumpy hungry dragon!

I feel like when you watch the different ships, you have to think there are some truth in them all... Just because a person/member is shipped with one doesn't mean they can't be shipped with anothers. I believe the real question is what you think the relationship between these person are about, because that's when they get individiul, special and beautiful. E.g. I would never compare the relationship between Jimin, V and Jungkook, because for me all the ships are true, but I feel like they have a different meaning and purpose. So I hope you won't think Jimin and Jungkook's ship isn't true because of the relationship between Suga and Jimin :-)
