@@winniejung it doesn't sound liek sticker by any how they don't even have the same formula.. Nor same beat or close lyrics... Maybe all noise music sound the same for you but they don't sound alike indeed
Taeil’s lines in this song really demonstrated a theory I’ve had about SM for a while: they don’t actually know how to use his voice. Sure, his chords and timbre go with virtually everything, but very rarely do they go with him. His sound is large, emotional and theatrical. SM doesn’t know how to utilise his abilities within the more hyper modernised nct structure, which can lead to his sudden appearance feeling jarring or mechanical. Hopefully he gets more time to shine on the rest of the album
What are you talking about? Taeil ALWAYS gets the best vocal parts in songs and always has a lot of lines, besides always having highnotes, in almost 70% of their songs. It's the first time Jungwoo and Yuta have so many lines, I'm particularly happy about it. Doyoung and Taeil's screen time was also short but it's like they switched with Yuta and Jungwoo for this comeback. I was tired of always having the two of them on the bridges, the comeback was amazing. nctzen happy and well served
Bro he’s him and Doyoung usually get half the lines you heard limitless 💀old 127 was teayong mark teail Doyoung featuring the other members plus him and Doyoung get most of the ost songs 💀💀💀
The way ppl are misunderstanding your comment... anyway I've felt the exact same. That man brings so much to the table that SM is confused on what dish to pick
because 3 rappers wrote the song, sokodomo, his best friend forgot his rap name is hard to spell and another rapper SM most likely picked them because they wanted a rap heavy comeback
2 Baddies was everything I wanted it to be. It is a very 127 sound. On top of that, I think that people outside of the fandom might be interested in it based on the visuals, and the song is catchy. I’m still looking forward to the bsides but the title track is a banger.
I wish the chorus had more melody or some harmony. When I think of sticker, it did have a funky beat, but the vocals helped fill the space in the song. I need some harmony or something. I will say though the other songs on the sampler sounds amazing so I’m excited for the album
I was a little disappointed with the corny and awkward-sounding lines they gave Johnny but that's kinda the only lines they would've given him. Other than that I loved a lot of what I heard. The instrumental was less jarring than sticker but still attention-grabbing, the rap line kinda snapped (rapper jaehyun 😍😍😍😍), the vocals weren't as robust as usual but for an anthemic, kick-it style, track, it definitely fit. It's definitely not my favorite title or anything (touch, chain, and punch are gonna be there forever I fear 💀👀), it's a solid song that has me excited. Definitely going on the gym playlist, 8.2/10
Wow I’m really surprised at your reaction tbh. I really thought the rap line went OFF and I thought they actually carried the song so it’s def interesting to hear a nctzen say the rap didn’t do it for them. But hey ya know, opinions, lol. I’m kind of obsessed with this song, and the first thing I thought when I finished watching the mv for the first time was wow, NCT 127 is so cool, like in the best form of the word, they are just cool. If I was an idol in the industry, THEY are what I would be striving for, THEY are what I would wish my group could do like, that’s how I see 127 and this song and mv just showed why NCT is who they are and why they are the best at what they do. Further more, I really do hope to see the boys having fun with this song, and enjoying promoting it. I wasn’t looking for this TT to be better than any other TT they released, I just wanted it to be different and show us another side to NCT, and I think they did that. I think this is NCT in their best form for the general public. I LOVED sticker, but obviously it had a lot of people confused. This song is catchy, it’s easily digestible for anyone who’s not used to 127’s typical SUPER Neo sound, and it showcases a lot of their strengths as a group. I can’t wait to see the dance practices, performance videos, music show promotions, gosh I’m so hyped for this era!!!
I thought the rap was the strength of 2 baddies. The MV was really cool. I had no idea Jaehyun could rap like he did. WOW! That's what i love about nct127's discography: there's always something surprising.
Hii brii!! I thought the song was so interesting, for the 1st listen I was just 👁️👄👁️ and I needed couple of listens to process the song but I definitely liked it more with each listen.. I love ballad and guitar songs usually but I love things that make me want to dance no matter what time or place I'm at and it was that type of song.. I loved the rap a lottttt Mark did take his mission to another level this time and as usual smooth flows.. I didn't focus much on lyrics tbh, Am happy that Johnny got some actual lines this time... I kinda wanted more vocal lines but it was good enough the prechorus was so dreamy.. Also I wanted more lines for yuta but anyways.. 127 squad slayyyy and sm editing team slayyy too the MV was top notch 😭🔥
My main problem is I really don't like the chorus. I like everything else and I can overlook the unbalanced parts, but the chorus doesn't sit right with me. The music video was stunning, though.
#JusticeForTaeil Sm has been decreasing Taeil's lines for quite some time. Only in 127 would the MAIN VOCALIST get almost no lines. I'm not going to sugarcoat it, it disappointed me. I agree, the structure is awkward. It felt more rap based (?? I literally said "why isn't Jaehyun singing?" out loud. I was already prepared for Taeil to get nothing, still highly disappointed but it is what it is. The raps were...they just aren't up to par with what they've given us in the past. I would even go as far as to say it was boring. They need to let Johnny sing because I'm so done with them giving mediocre rap lines. I love that Yuta has been given more lines, if they're taking lines away from Taeil then the least they could do is give them to Yuta and Jungwoo.
@@reecegraham6921 They're definitely lessening his parts but Doyoung is more than capable (sm is aware, they've been pushing him more lately) so I see absolutely no reason to lessen vocals when the rapper to vocalist ration is so unbalanced in favor of the vocalists. I just hope that Jungwoo and Yuta get more lines when Taeil is gone otherwise there is nothing to be gained.
@@neo.aenergy yuta and jungwoo will prob get more parts later. imho though Doyoung is good he is not yet on Taeil’s level. Even Taeil sometimes struggle to keep up with the vocal demands which is why my next theory is that their songs might not be as vocally challenging with Taeil gone. His shoes are big to fill but hopefully SM has more faith in the group and still prioritises the vocals (at least in bsides)
Imma have to respectfully disagree about the rap parts, they were straight fire especially Jaehyun's. I feel like good rap parts don't have to be super fast and loud, you just have to feel the beat and vibe of the song and rap accordingy. Since the concept involves cars, they went for the "cruisy, cool" vibe in the raps. As for the instrumental, I think it's absolutely fitting since you can hear engine roars and car skreetching in it
tbh the only memorable raps for me were jaehyun's (and mark's first rap) so i kinda agree with both briczennie's and your opinions. the best parts for me were definitely the vocal lines and (of course) the bridge but the rapping (apart from jaehyun) was kind of a let down for me. overall it's a middle of the road title track for me and it makes me appreciate sticker more. was kinda hoping for a more r&b trap-infused track with a title like "2 baddies" so i was slightly disappointed with the soundscape we ended up getting. overall, not a bad song just not my favourite from them. the album however? only 3 songs i genuinely don't care for, the rest of it is straight fire.
After the last episode of Fill It Up, I have to say I feel very protective of the boys and this song/comeback, so I cannot be objective with it atm, lol. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but seeing these videos pop-up rn is making me upset. 🥲 I genuinely loved the song and MV (except maybe for the two lines Taeil and Yuta got), so I have many good things to say about it and I hope NCTzens can support them no matter what. They deserve to feel good about this comeback. 😭
Same after last episode of fill it up i feel like we have never actually reached the bar they have set for views and this comeback till now is going worse than it should be in terms of views All i hope is boys don’t get disappointed with it
If a tame respectful commentary video has you so upset you lack emotional maturity. I’m a commentary channel who loves NCT and praises them almost 24/7. I have the right to say if I don’t like their latest title track and no one is forcing you to watch my video.
@@alexmarie7574 So you want everyone to be yes men and lie or stay silent for your own peace of mind? 🤠 Every fan has a right to say how they feel! As long as they aren't being hateful there's no issue. You just have some growing up to do.
It was weird that they didn't let Mark and Taeyoung write their own rap songs because they can ho very hard in the studio. It was also upsetting that Taeil only had 2 lines. Yet, I did like it. It sounded fun, the blue's clues lyric did throw me off though.
about the “unbalanced” part - I agree with you, the flow of the song felt disrupted, too much was happening and not in the way I’m used to with 127. I liked some of the rap parts, specifically Jaehyun’s for some reason 💀 and the chorus is catchy as a mf like I’ve been walking around the house humming it and annoying everybody around me lmfaooo justice for Sticker! that felt more cohesive to me than this cb
@@briczennie Jaehyun pulled a big Chance he was like Imma take over the rap parts this cb I got you guys 😂 I did like some bits of Markyong’s verses tho
i dont care about that bcs limitless is nct127s best title track also haechan was a child during those times there were other vocalists who re more experienced than him and he got lines in dream now he is more experienced imo better than jaehyun
@@stardust332 well that’s rude asf to say about Jaehyun for no dang reason. Why can’t they both just be equally talented in different ways. It’s fine to prefer one over the other but not cool to say one is better than the other, that’s just rude and dismissive.
I am so obsessed with this song. I think everyone got great lines. I am confused why you would say the rap line is weak when the rap is phenomenal in this song. 😩 Everyone got a chance to shine and bring something amazing to the table. The song is catchy and fun. The bridge and outro is amazing. The raps are amazing as well. They translate much better in Korean.
I didn't concentrated on lyrics so idk how rap lyrics were but i feel rap parts were phenomenal bcs rap parts standout most especially Jaehyun raps were surprising
I am the opposite. I HATED "Sticker"; however, I really liked "2 Baddies". It just goes to show that music is truly subjective--there is no "right" or "wrong" opinion.
Your critique really gave a nugget to think on, “why does a group people favour sticker, kick it and chain while another group favours superhuman and now two baddies?” I came to this conclusion. I’ve noticed that we have two different types of people when it comes to listening to music, mostly noise music, we have those who are melody centred ( people who listen to music to sing too) and then we have people who are instrumental centred listeners (the people who listen to music to dance and vibe to) . Songs like sticker and chain are reliant on the melody to keep the song together which is by they are so cohesive (there’s not much that can be done in a melody) which is why melody focused people favour these and songs like two baddies and superhuman are carried by their instrumentals and have a heavy focus on them, this is why we see so many people favour two baddies over sticker, two baddies has a solid instrumental that’s fun to listen whereas sticker is a melody focused song with a sparse instrumental filled with dissonance and not that much of a tonal centre, which is why it wasn’t favoured among kpop stans as most of them are listening to the song to vibe and dance to, thus they are instrumental focused. I just find it interesting.
what about someone who likes superhuman, chain (and favourite) but doesn't really care for sticker (although 2 baddies made me appreciate it more) and 2 baddies?
I LOVED 2 BADDIES ON THE FIRST LISTEN (call me nuts) and when Sticker dropped I had to let it grow on me (i love it now btw) but I didn't notice that Taeil only had like two lines until you mentioned it, and I do understand why you put the song with Superhuman and i respect it!! 😂#justicefortaeil and also petition for SM to give Yuta and Johnny more lines like this because it never happens (edit: I disagree with Taeyong on what he said about this surpassing other 127 songs even though he's my bias 💀)
Taeyong and Mark's verses are always better when they write them themselves. I mean, Taeyong is one of the main rappers and didn't even get a full verse to himself in this, barely a 4-second line which is so disappointing. And I felt like I could hardly hear Taeil which is crazy when he is the MAIN main vocalist of the group. A very underwhelming release because in my opinion, the essence of a great 127 title track is Taeyong, Mark, and Taeil doing their magic but all 3 of them were given the short ends of the stick with this comeback.
I want to like it, but it’s just not for me. I feel like this didn’t live up to all of the prerelease hype but that’s just my opinion. Also justice for Taeil!
despite the visuals being on point as always, i agree with the rap lines in this song being very weak...also i think this song was made to be more "tiktok" and "dance challenge" friendly than an actual well produced, cohesive song like sticker and favorite. now thats a path that i DO NOT want the boys to follow moving forward! very catchy song to drive along to tho! i think the bsides will swoop in and save the day cause theyre all very hip/hop r&b based which i LOVE
What makes a song neo is actually a wide topic, the song has although safe yet irregular beat, harmonious chorus and a beautiful bridge with a loud beat change. Therefore it is very much a 127 song but I agree they weren't experimental and loud enough. As a Taeyong stan I feel like he got robbed but I'm sure that he's got a lot of center parts in the performance and jaehyun and yuta got their well deserved line. To me 127 is a group that can pull of anything nd this song felt like a fresh change of pace.
I really love the song! Unlike Sticker, I fell in love with this instantly. It gave me Cherry Bomb feels. I do respect your opinion! You did a great job in breaking down what you like and didn’t like
I honestly loved 2 baddies immediately but I agree that it kind of caught me off guard how the distribution of the lines is like i was immediately kind of caught off cause I was not even hearing a snippet of taeil and heachan voices and this is not a drag by any mean but I was bombarded by how much I was listening to jaehyun voices so the distribution of the lines caught me completely off but nothing too bad ig
This song made me feel like Aespa's Next Level vibe. They just keep repeating 2 baddies one porsche until it's stuck in your head and the song goes by fast because of the quick changes in the MV and interesting song structure causing you to rewatch the MV multiple times until it gets stuck in your head.
i feel like next level was constantly keeping me on my toes, i didn't like it at first but the tempo and key changes won me over in the end. 2 baddies doesn't feel or sound as complex as Next Level on a sonic/compositional level. they're two completely different songs imo.
the '2 baddies one 1 porsche' bit is a bit grating on the ears for me and it feels like sticker and and lemonade had a child (in the way that it mixes 'annoying' elements with more typical boy group noise sounds) weirdly enough, i feel like this could've served better as a sub-unit b-side (ex. taeyong, johnny, mark, jaehyun and jungwoo/or yuta) rather than a full unit song overall it's good ig
To each their own. Good for you for sticking with your opinion. For me, I don’t like Sticker but 2 Baddies is actually one of my fav comebacks from NCT 127. I actually like the lack of melody in the chorus. Though it strays from SM’s typical melodic anthem-like chorus, it really highlights the bassline and overall instrumentals. It also makes the melody in the outro much more impactful. And Jaehyun’s really delivered the rap 🔥Also jealous of you getting to see them soon. Hope you have fun 💚
Yo that pimp stick thingie took me out 😂😂 Loved the video and the FASHIOOONNN!!! 🗣🗣 They snapped but I fear I have to listen to it again to make my decision. Love your channel 🌸
All I can say is the song is “on brand” - it’s not horrible but some fans will support the song. How they managed to capture Haechan’s timbre in the production🤷🏻♀️it’s beautiful and Taeil never disappoints, never!
Outside of all the song discourse, I will say I loved seeing my two favorite leaders (Taeyong and Hongjoong (Ateez)) rocking canes in their respective MVs!
I'm disappointed at the fact Taeyong didn't get a proper rap verse like what tf was that bare minimum those lyricists should have given the task to Taeyong and Mark instead
Musicality wise I actually love sticker more… 2 baddies is catchy but it’s kinda not as experimental… that being said, I’m just happy that they are back and hope they fully enjoy the promotion~~
The main rapper hardly getting any lines??? You don't become a rapper. Rap is not about reciting words, its about telling a story. Nobody does it like TAEYONG; Never delivers the same flow, always embodies the song, the theme, adding colours and intonations. Same with the main Vocalist, TAEIL might be the one of most talented vocalist in SM. And I also like JAEHYUN vocalist. But please leave the rap to TAEYONG. TAEYONG, GDragon and TOP are by far the most interesting, versatile rappers in Kpop. They add their artistry to the flow and make it unique.
I got where you came from I too didn't process the song arrangement fast since the 1st listen.. Especially that it was focusing on rap more which was surprising.. Also some of the vocal line had rap or rap like parts I almost lost where the prechorus was Sticker was easy to listen to but hard to love (not for me def for others) while 2 baddies is hard to listen to but easy to love (idk if I put it right) .. The stable beat, good visuals and raps will get many to like it.. Especially boy group Stans cos it was a decent bg song Actually many will like it more than sticker.. While sticker definitely had more elements for me (unique elements) with the unsaturated beat where you can hear the vocals and raps clearly..the great concept and lyrics Also it had a better line distribution (at least for me) sticker's choreo top 2 baddies' choreo for me cos it was more saturated and detailed which showed the amazing skills and sync of the members In conclusion both songs had their things at this point it depends on taste.. I too like sticker more but I'd stream 2 baddies too for the AMAZING mark Parts and flow and the nanananana outro part too 🦋
Concept was dope but sticker >>>>> I rlly hate that they gave Johnny the most random lines to say and Yuta can still step on me anytime 🙂. It was actually pretty good just their voices in the chorus gave me aespa dreams come true vibes (yk in the last part of the song where they sound super tiny/nasally) and it didn't sit well w me #justiceforTaeil man's needs a Mariah Carey solo on NCT lab
The MV was absolutely stunning, my mans Yuta and backup baes Taeyong and Jungwoo looked incredible, but the song…. The song was a LOT, like there was so much happening and none of it seemed to coalesce to me. I don’t think it was terrible, and it’ll probably grow on me more over time. But for right now… nah
You MV was hands down one of their best. But yeah I've accepted the song isn't for me. I tried to give it a few more listens but I'm just not vibing with it. The album is incredible though! I will never be free from Time Lapse!!
Okay but "Two baddies, two baddies, one Porsche" is the cringiest thing I've heard in kpop in a while. I just can't listen to it like c'mon... I don't hate the song but the chorus makes it unlistenable to me and that makes me sad because I usually love their songs 🥲
Alright imma have to agree, at first when just the dance challenge was out, i thought this line was SUPER cringe. But now that ive heard the whole song, it fits in alright lol
@@iLoveYangYosoeb I believe it is when people say they had to listen to it for a while for the song to grow on them. Which I see a lot of and it’s really sad. People can’t like every song so when people have to listen to it over. And over. And over. And over. And over. And- yeah. That’s what people do and I see that in comments and it’s sad tbh😮💨
@@anyone1111 oh, well I understand that. and it is sad. just because they are you're faves doesn't mean you have to like every song. I ULT NCT and 127 is my fave unit and I can say I listened to Punch once and immediately knew I will never like that song
I feel like people are gonna really start overthinking things again because honestly this feels very on brand for nct, especially 127,they are pretty much the kings of noise/ experimental music, like it just came out and I can already feel the over critical fans ruining the vibe
Loved the song but why is SM so obsessed with going viral on tiktok lately, it's so cringe like stop it, they pushed Boombox so hard to the point where i have no interest in listening to the song anymore.
SM needs to do a clean-up of some of their producers and managers, I don't know how they thought a song that was more of a rap song and did not utilize everyone's strength well would be fitting for a title song. Everyone is crazy right now trying to come up with a new style and it's not going well. The stylists though never miss.
tbh i don’t actually feel like it’s the producers’ fault bc their usual works are very good and even with their nct tracks you can tell they’re good at their craft. BUT it’s SM pitching these ideas to the producers and telling them what type of songs they envision for them. i really dislike how uncohesive the musicality is in their title tracks are. you can be experimental without 4 switch ups in one song. it’s crazy how their title tracks’ reputation keeps ppl from listening to their full albums. also i might be in the minority here but i feel like rap parts are so unnecessary in many nct songs, which would flow much better without them and are often corny
I started NCT journey last year and I fell into this rabbit hole since then... Anyways, I love the song (my 6yo boy are crazy over the song with the catchy chorus) , well, there is certain part I don't quite get it.. (it will sound a bit harsh and long but don't come to me, they are all my BIAS I LOVE ALL OF THEM) ITS JUST MY OPINION Rap line - for me, Mark did Good (I read a few comment saying he is ACTING /TRYING TO BE COOL WHICH IS A BIT TOO MUCH) , he showed the coolness with the WHATEVA type of vibe which it matches the song well but...Jay's rap..doesn't sounds like it belongs to this song, I'M NOT SAYING HE CAN'T RAP, just the vibe.. Doesn't match 100%, it would be more hype if TY rap because he has the charisma in his rapping style, he plays with the tone/vibe even how to pronounce the wording, Mark and TY is super rap combo and when it comes to a song that is extraordinary(which most of their past song sound like) The song would be a bit different if rap verse be more playful/ corky, NOT like "wow a vocalist rapping" (i know Jay used to rap at the beginning of the era, i know I know) but his voice are smooth melodic romantic sexy not as rough/naughty as TY....and maybe yuta get to rap a little bit more? Yuta's gasoline line KILLED ME! Vocal line - I thought I lost Moon 😂 and to be honest, JW voice sounds a bit weird(the bridge) , I mean of course he can sing, very well... Just that placing him after Jay's part, it's weird, doesn't really match the vibe after Jay.. I wish it was Yuta that sang that part, I felt Yuta matches Jay tone slightly better than JW. OK, i only have THESE "complaint" other than that, IT'S A BOP (by Heachan Lee) Wish our boys have fun for this comeback.
I like the song just not the chorus,,, ik members really liked this song so good for them,,, hopefully they will break more records with this album,, I do know that I am excited for the b sides bcs most of them felt like my type of songs
I definitely don’t think they meant this by any means, but when I heard the song the only thing I kept thinking was 2 girls, 1 cup and I’m like, we couldn’t have worded this any differently? 😭
The music is all over the place. I hate it. So much noise and lyrics make no sense. Favourite is the best NCT song for me. And that neon scene of taeyong was clearly copied from kai mmmh allbum
Actually, since I'm more of a EDM person (inclined to subgenres like Riddim, Brostep, Color Bass), I liked this song at it's first listen just like most of NCT 127's cbs. Not saying that this is what I expected 2 Baddies to sound like nor look like, much less the line distribution (I'm still not over that 50% of the song isn't Markyong)-- but I still got super hyped in my first listen! I didn't really looked at the lyrics or "deep meaning" because I honestly don't care, but it's still a great song and MV for me.
I went in having only seen the announcement teaser and was very disappointed. I heard nothing about Taeyong hyping up the song. I frickin LOVED the Sticker and Favorite albums. The sound, the vibe, the energy and concept were all emaculate. That first 2B announcement teaser really seemed, to me, like a step further in that same direction, but more intense. But for me, whatever they did just didn't work. It was bad, and very cringe, for lack of better words. Awkward is the best way I can describe it.
Maybe i just didn't have high expectations, since i watched the teaser and thought i wasn't gonna like the song, but i actualy really liked it on first listen! I don't know, it just hit 🤷♀️
*breathes in* GIVE TAEIL MORE LINES OMG *breathes out* BRING BACK STICKER ok anyways so... i'm kinda on the fence with this song, which feels weird bc the teaser has been stuck in my head for the past week. tbh it did kinda feel unbalanced. but... i've only heard the song twice, so i don't wanna say whether i like it or not just yet. the mv production was really good, and i enjoyed the visuals very much. i'm looking forward to the b-sides; i think they're going to be amazing but regardless, i still love nct 💚
For me I'm not the biggest fan of the song only because I just tend to like NCT's more melodic songs but every single part EATS, but I'm still not too sure how I feel about everything together. Honestly I REALLY love the MV and I think the whole point of the song was to show the concept and NCT's cool and unique experimental style.
Soooooo, nobody else cringed hearing "2 baddies, 1 Porsche" said unironically? I cringed way too much during the song because of the lyrics, can we just ban English lyrics from kpop songs please because there is always way too much cringeeeee
There I was agreeing with everything. Yes-ing and nodding through the whole video but then *record scratch* you don’t like Superhuman? Two Baddies and Superhuman in the same bucket there’s just no way.
Its okay not to like every song from your favorite group. Trust me, every group I love I always hate at least one of their songs. Doesn't make me a anti or anything, I just know what I like. except Ten... I love all of his work no matter what! Where's the Ten solo album already! heh heh. anyhoo.. love the video Bri, I do agree with you about 2 Baddies and there are great moments with the song, and some not so great moments. But I will say, its stuck in my head like woah! So I will give them that for the earworm. I cant wait to listen to the rest of this album. I know Imma fall in love with one of the songs, since it always seems to happen with NCT.
As someone who actually loves 2 Baddies (as I love all of NCT's songs, no joke here), I understand why you're disappointed with the song and agree with some points you've made (especially in regards to Taeil). Sticker is definitely better than 2 Baddies, that's for sure.
I really liked it ngl, but not my absolute fav, sticker does deff beat 2 baddies, but i still really honestly did like it. But the MV, well, SM really said budget 😎 💚 and tbh it wasnt that "neo noisy" enough for me 🤔 but im mad its not on spotify yet
I agree with you. Mark&Taeyong rap duos usually have some special magic to them, they bounce off each so well, but this time it was strangely underwhelming. Idk, just felt weirdly generic and lacking their usual fiery neo-style/coolness. I can't even remember a single line of their, when usually their parts sear themselves in my memory after the first listening (well, except for "wheels" line, thanks to horny twitter memes I remembered that one very well, lmao) Maybe it's because they didn't participate in writing, but they are usually fire even when they don't, so I don't know what happened. Maybe it was a lack of time for them to really go off? It felt like they mostly did adlibs that time, but I can't say vocalists had much actual lines either? It's just weird. It's the first time I didn't like nct127 title track all that much, and I loved sticker and even wakey wakey from the first listening. Well, at least I liked music video too. It was amazing
Agree for a lot of points!!! Sticker is not my favourite song but I still like it more than 2 baddies lol. Sticker is definitely a stronger song that represents their NEO sounds, it's unique, it's memorable, it's highly technical. 127 supposed to be the most experimental, (and yes, I love heavily layered songs) yet, 2 baddies is a song that other group can performed. there's nothing neo in it. the members said they like the song, so I thought it would be a lot more melodic, but idk what is this. agree about the rap part too. markyong written their own part for sticker probably make it better compare to this. I also meh on jaehyun getting more and more rap line, because he is a main vocalist and has distinct tone which should've been utilised more. but I don't agree on Superhuman slander! that song is a bop and a half!
I agree with pretty much all of this. Also, Doyoung's part in the first pre-chorus was my favorite bit of the whole song and I was super bummed that that melody never came back around. Why add it in just to never bring it back?
This is a heavy rap song but MarkYong only got few seconds to deliver 😞 I mean don't push more members to RAP, sometimes it doesn't suit the song. JUST LET THE RAPPERS writer their own!!!
Their problem is they still think this same formula of rappers first, dancers second, vocals last actually works. There’s a reason this group hasn’t had that one truly big hit. The rest of their album is full of vocals because they know they can’t keep up this tired concept in every song. They all have wildly different singing voices and to reduce them all to monotonous chanting is just tiring to hear over and over again.
6:09 a lot of nctzens get mad when I say that they're relighting Taeil to back up. I've been saying it for a while that they're slowly replacing taeil and leaving taeil for high notes /The bridge alone. I've always spoken about how they are gonna shelve taeil and replace him with doyoung and haechan As much as I'd hate it, it's very likely, taeil is my bias but I know sm does stupid and terrible shit like that
I think this is more of a distribution issue than them replaycing Taeil. There a 9 people for a 3-4 minute song only. Only recently did we even hear Yuta, Jaehyuns or Haechans voice for more than 5 seconds on any tile track prior to the Neo Zone album. Nctizens used to complain that is was the Taeyong and Mark show featuring Doyoung and Taeil
I love it but there are a few things I would change. The chorus could've been different each time but I lovedddd "2 baddies, 1 Porsche!!" I quote that everytime now. I would added a few pauses before the chorus to increase impact. People think Johnny get corny lines. Yes I agree but I think it's sounds more corny to y'all because of his delivery. His delivery is very different from Mark and Jaehyun. They both got corny lyrics too but their deliveries make it sound cool. Johnny's flow isn't bad but paired with corny lyrics makes for an awkward pair.
"Confused" is an interesting word to use. What's confusing about two people having different opinions on a song? You can disagree but I don't see what there is to be confused about. And I actually preferred Jaehyun's rap parts over Markyong's which surprised me. But overall, I think NCT 127 has delivered way better rap verses in other songs.
@@briczennie I’m sorry if I offended you I didn’t know which other word to use to describe my thoughts since English is not my native language. But I agree that they had stronger raps before. But I still think that the song is cohesive and I overall very like it. But of course you’re entitled to your own opinion.
While I did enjoy 2Baddies as a whole (mv and song), I really agree with your point about the rap line. I really wished they let markyong wrote their own lyrics for the rap part. I was waiting for it to have a proper markyong rap breakdown but it did not happen. I also do agree that we should have gotten more Taeil tbh. Title track wise and songwise it probably does not surpass sticker for me but the bsides on the album are so great that i would say it surpassed Neozone as an album. Also, rapline did so much better in the bsides especially for songs like faster and designer !!
First off I agree with you on almost everything part and I like the song alot. 2 Baddies seems like they tried to hard combine Kick it, Superhuman, Sticker and maybe "Simon Says" into one song that originally had a different title.
only thing i didn't like about the song was jaehyun's rap. i personally prefer his singing over his rapping. his raps sound flowless, lifeless in my ears. the same happened with him on "lemonade" and now with "2 baddies", but everyone else seems to love his raps, so i'm the minority. and before someone says i anti jaehyun, he's literally my favorite vocalist in all nct, his timbre reminds of baekhyun's, who is my male ult bias. :)
ive been following NCT since their debut i always had enjoyed their songs , personally I don't like “Sticker”, but after listening to “2 Baddies” I gotta say, Sticker actually left a bigger impact in me, and I agree with you, that was their biggest comeback, yes the visuals of 2B are amazing, but the song itself felt a little bit MEH for me, although, im excited to listen the full album they always have great B-Sides!!
Wow a Sticker enthusiast like me. I understand that people really do have different taste in music. Same with that I think I like it more than 2baddies. But I did still enjoy the song nonetheless. Love Jaehyun's Rap parts. MarkYong still did great in their parts but I feel like they had better rap too. Then I read they didn't write their rap this time maybe that's why. I just wish Taeil & Do Young had more parts. I also kind of felt like the bridge was too short. I wish it was longer. And disagree with Superhuman, it's one of my fave title tracks along with Limitless & Favorite. I really like melodic type of songs they have. I respect your opinion tho, nice to hear constructive criticism in kpop.
girl you better make a seperate Time Lapse appreciation video because I'll never take you seriously again if you dont bow down for the best NCT song in history
It's funny how most czennies were ripping apart twitter with how bad sticker was (which is not, it was a very good song) now I see people shit on 2baddies saying bring back sticker like make up your mind
im so fucking tired seeing taeil in bad mood. sm treat your fucking artist right. taeil had only 7s screen time while taeyong had 30s. can you just like take 5 sec. from tae and give taeil some screen time too? he ALWAYS caries nct songs no matter what. HIS highnotes are perfect in every nct song. He put really so much effort to sing for u sm and you treat him like shit. give moon taeil what he deserves!! #taeildeservesbetter
I actually really enjoyed 2 baddies. I feel that people have taken kpop too seriously. I have been a Kpop stan since 2008 and kpop used to be just fun and campy just cause. 127 are by ult group and I am really happy they enjoyed recording this song. We are all going to have diffrent opinions and that's a GOOD THING! I also do not like superhuman sorry not sorry LOL.

He always ends up getting shoehorned towards the end with a high note
Yes, theatrical is the perfect way to describe his voice!
The way ppl are misunderstanding your comment... anyway I've felt the exact same. That man brings so much to the table that SM is confused on what dish to pick
I did feel that the song was more rap, so the vocals had less lines, but they killed their parts anyway. I love the energy, and the vibe is awesome.
because 3 rappers wrote the song, sokodomo, his best friend forgot his rap name is hard to spell and another rapper SM most likely picked them because they wanted a rap heavy comeback
2 Baddies was everything I wanted it to be. It is a very 127 sound. On top of that, I think that people outside of the fandom might be interested in it based on the visuals, and the song is catchy. I’m still looking forward to the bsides but the title track is a banger.
I totally agree!!!

Its not a bad song but something is missing for me
The way I'm obsessed with this song especially the rap part😂😂. I love the dance too.
I wish the chorus had more melody or some harmony. When I think of sticker, it did have a funky beat, but the vocals helped fill the space in the song. I need some harmony or something. I will say though the other songs on the sampler sounds amazing so I’m excited for the album
I agree with you 100%! The layered, harmonized vocals made Sticker amazing.
Samee I really thought the 2 baddies part is for post chorus you know after a melodic chorus but guess they have other visions for this song
agree
They always give him corny lyrics tho
@@yuh7359 am I the only one who thinks his delivery is a problem too 😭

Exactly! Beautiful words!
I agree 100% with you
Ate and left no crumbs, spat facts, slayed, W
Also jaehyun slaayyyyyyy
Ngl I might have to listen to it a second time cause I listened to it and I was like 😕
My main problem is I really don't like the chorus. I like everything else and I can overlook the unbalanced parts, but the chorus doesn't sit right with me. The music video was stunning, though.
#JusticeForTaeil
Sm has been decreasing Taeil's lines for quite some time.
My reaching theory is SM is lessening singing parts overall bc Taeil might not be around after this year
@@reecegraham6921 They're definitely lessening his parts but Doyoung is more than capable (sm is aware, they've been pushing him more lately) so I see absolutely no reason to lessen vocals when the rapper to vocalist ration is so unbalanced in favor of the vocalists.
As for the instrumental, I think it's absolutely fitting since you can hear engine roars and car skreetching in it
@Theren ah vraiment? Moi aussi! Je suis Cameroonaise-Americaine!
tbh the only memorable raps for me were jaehyun's (and mark's first rap) so i kinda agree with both briczennie's and your opinions. the best parts for me were definitely the vocal lines and (of course) the bridge but the rapping (apart from jaehyun) was kind of a let down for me. overall it's a middle of the road title track for me and it makes me appreciate sticker more. was kinda hoping for a more r&b trap-infused track with a title like "2 baddies" so i was slightly disappointed with the soundscape we ended up getting. overall, not a bad song just not my favourite from them. the album however? only 3 songs i genuinely don't care for, the rest of it is straight fire.
I love everything about it - the beat, the visuals, the choreo, the outfits, everything. And I love Sticker, too.
I completely fell in love with the song in the first listen, I think this song is amazing.

Me too!
Same after last episode of fill it up i feel like we have never actually reached the bar they have set for views and this comeback till now is going worse than it should be in terms of views

taeyong barely had rap lines at all which is a shame since he's the main rapper and he was really missed.

What about the czen who likes sticker and superhuman? 😂 (That would be me 🙃)
@@shiningjewel4034 i guess you are kind of like me, we focus on both i don’t think i have an nct song I don’t like💀😂
what about someone who likes superhuman, chain (and favourite) but doesn't really care for sticker (although 2 baddies made me appreciate it more) and 2 baddies?
A very underwhelming release because in my opinion, the essence of a great 127 title track is Taeyong, Mark, and Taeil doing their magic but all 3 of them were given the short ends of the stick with this comeback.
it’s not surpassing any of other title tracks for me, but i still like it very much. especially that outro part and Jaehyun’s rap

2 baddies was just meant for the visuals… definitely isn’t a title track barely would accept it as a b side but they still ate 💚

It’s so sad that that Taeil didn’t get much lines as he has such a beautiful voice and he is so talented!!!!!!
I wish Dem Jointz did the TT. Also, Taeil deserves better
this
I saw the title and was like: *YEEES* someone agrees and y’all had the audacity to come for stickers now look what we got
the '2 baddies one 1 porsche' bit is a bit grating on the ears for me and it feels like sticker and and lemonade had a child (in the way that it mixes 'annoying' elements with more typical boy group noise sounds) weirdly enough, i feel like this could've served better as a sub-unit b-side (ex. taeyong, johnny, mark, jaehyun and jungwoo/or yuta) rather than a full unit song overall it's good ig

Outside of all the song discourse, I will say I loved seeing my two favorite leaders (Taeyong and Hongjoong (Ateez)) rocking canes in their respective MVs!
I loved sticker when everyone hates it. But i freaking love 2 baddies too. So catchy
I'm disappointed at the fact Taeyong didn't get a proper rap verse like what tf was that bare minimum those lyricists should have given the task to Taeyong and Mark instead
I was pretty underwhelmed by the title track honestly.
Also some of the vocal line had rap or rap like parts I almost lost where the prechorus was
Sticker was easy to listen to but hard to love (not for me def for others) while 2 baddies is hard to listen to but easy to love (idk if I put it right) .. The stable beat, good visuals and raps will get many to like it.. Especially boy group Stans cos it was a decent bg song Actually many will like it more than sticker.. While sticker definitely had more elements for me (unique elements) with the unsaturated beat where you can hear the vocals and raps clearly..the great concept and lyrics Also it had a better line distribution (at least for me) sticker's choreo top 2 baddies' choreo for me cos it was more saturated and detailed which showed the amazing skills and sync of the members
In conclusion both songs had their things at this point it depends on taste..
It was actually pretty good just their voices in the chorus gave me aespa dreams come true vibes (yk in the last part of the song where they sound super tiny/nasally) and it didn't sit well w me #justiceforTaeil man's needs a Mariah Carey solo on NCT lab
i honestly rlly like this song especially the part that goes like ''zip zip show me zip it up, what you got''
this is straight up a top 3 nct 127 song lmao
The MV was absolutely stunning, my mans Yuta and backup baes Taeyong and Jungwoo looked incredible, but the song….
The song was a LOT, like there was so much happening and none of it seemed to coalesce to me. I don’t think it was terrible, and it’ll probably grow on me more over time. But for right now… nah
I haven't been able to listen to the song in full, I will listen to a minute of it per day there is just too much going on.
You MV was hands down one of their best. But yeah I've accepted the song isn't for me. I tried to give it a few more listens but I'm just not vibing with it. The album is incredible though! I will never be free from Time Lapse!!
the song is good imo except chorus it destroys everything

It wasn’t for me but i loved the mv and choreography! The boys did great
the only problem with this song is that there’s not enough taeyong, but other than that it’s really good.
But now that ive heard the whole song, it fits in alright lol
i completely agree. the chorus makes or breaks songs for me. if the chorus was better, i would like the song a lot better
I appreciate your honesty. Some kpop fans just try to force themselves to like a title from their bias group. But your review was really on point
why when you or others don't like a song you guys always assume those that like it are forcing themselves???
@@iLoveYangYosoeb
I believe it is when people say they had to listen to it for a while for the song to grow on them.
Boombox 😭
They saw Zoo and Love theory going viral so they decided to push other songs too
SM needs to do a clean-up of some of their producers and managers, I don't know how they thought a song that was more of a rap song and did not utilize everyone's strength well would be fitting for a title song.
Man i love nct127 but i felt really confused throughout this entire song 🤣
I started NCT journey last year and I fell into this rabbit hole since then...
Anyways, I love the song (my 6yo boy are crazy over the song with the catchy chorus) , well, there is certain part I don't quite get it.. (it will sound a bit harsh and long but don't come to me, they are all my BIAS I LOVE ALL OF THEM)
ITS JUST MY OPINION
Rap line - for me, Mark did Good (I read a few comment saying he is ACTING /TRYING TO BE COOL WHICH IS A BIT TOO MUCH) , he showed the coolness with the WHATEVA type of vibe which it matches the song well but...Jay's rap..doesn't sounds like it belongs to this song, I'M NOT SAYING HE CAN'T RAP, just the vibe..
OK, i only have THESE "complaint" other than that, IT'S A BOP (by Heachan Lee)
Wish our boys have fun for this comeback.
Damn, I really didn't need those Vietnam flashbacks😭
Also, the MV teaser reminded me of Punch and Make A Wish, two NCT songs I LOVE, furthering my unexpected disappointment.
Maybe i just didn't have high expectations, since i watched the teaser and thought i wasn't gonna like the song, but i actualy really liked it on first listen! I don't know, it just hit 🤷♀️
The song is not for me, it’s not it to me.
The video was great though
*breathes in* GIVE TAEIL MORE LINES OMG *breathes out* BRING BACK STICKER
ok anyways so... i'm kinda on the fence with this song, which feels weird bc the teaser has been stuck in my head for the past week. tbh it did kinda feel unbalanced. but... i've only heard the song twice, so i don't wanna say whether i like it or not just yet. the mv production was really good, and i enjoyed the visuals very much. i'm looking forward to the b-sides; i think they're going to be amazing
but regardless, i still love nct 💚
For me I'm not the biggest fan of the song only because I just tend to like NCT's more melodic songs but every single part EATS, but I'm still not too sure how I feel about everything together. Honestly I REALLY love the MV and I think the whole point of the song was to show the concept and NCT's cool and unique experimental style.
Soooooo, nobody else cringed hearing "2 baddies, 1 Porsche" said unironically?
I cringed way too much during the song because of the lyrics, can we just ban English lyrics from kpop songs please because there is always way too much cringeeeee
Stop.
also, the “blue clues” line like who wrote that?? i need names immediately 😫
There I was agreeing with everything. Yes-ing and nodding through the whole video but then *record scratch* you don’t like Superhuman? Two Baddies and Superhuman in the same bucket there’s just no way.
If it makes you feel better I've decided I prefer Superhuman over 2 Baddies. 😭
@@briczennie if we are going by my feelings toward Two Baddies it eases the blow but the pain is still there 😂
Its okay not to like every song from your favorite group.
The way my bias jaehyun killed this they all did great but he was on another level a true all rounder
I've always spoken about how they are gonna shelve taeil and replace him with doyoung and haechan
As much as I'd hate it, it's very likely, taeil is my bias but I know sm does stupid and terrible shit like that
I think this is more of a distribution issue than them replaycing Taeil.
I'll get flamed for this but this track sounded like any 4th gen boy group title. This is not the NCTprint I've loved for years.
WRDGAF
This song is about the most NEO song I have ever ever heard. 👀
@@elkemist then why bother replying
@@Doyoungismyfave good for you! It's a difference in opinion, and I do like the song. It just doesn't hit me like other tracks
I agree tbh. that was literally my first thought.
I'm an ncitizen and I'm just gonna be honest 2 Baddies was too repetitive, it was horrible!
The aesthetics were off the charts though.
@@chrisyi2014 I agree
I’m a bit confused by your perception since I love everything about this song and was stunned by Jaehyuns rap
Yuta and Haechan were the only saving graces for this comeback. The rest of it was like a really bad joke.
Sticker was better, thats it
ive been following NCT since their debut i always had enjoyed their songs , personally I don't like “Sticker”, but after listening to “2 Baddies” I gotta say, Sticker actually left a bigger impact in me, and I agree with you, that was their biggest comeback, yes the visuals of 2B are amazing, but the song itself felt a little bit MEH for me, although, im excited to listen the full album they always have great B-Sides!!
The fact that I like sticker and 2 baddies ✌🏼😜 god I have good taste 🤪
TIME LAPSE HAS RUINED MY LIFE. It's truly one of their best b-sides and we know Dem Jointz doesn't disappoint. 😭
im also a major czennie but the fact taeil aint say nun made me sad alsoooo the chorus made me laugh im sorry, the other songs are so good
It's funny how most czennies were ripping apart twitter with how bad sticker was (which is not, it was a very good song) now I see people shit on 2baddies saying bring back sticker like make up your mind
im so fucking tired seeing taeil in bad mood. sm treat your fucking artist right. taeil had only 7s screen time while taeyong had 30s. can you just like take 5 sec. from tae and give taeil some screen time too? he ALWAYS caries nct songs no matter what. HIS highnotes are perfect in every nct song. He put really so much effort to sing for u sm and you treat him like shit. give moon taeil what he deserves!!
