* Detention is a form of punishment for committing too many rule violations. When you're busted by an authority figure, you will lose some of the items you had. You are forced to attend detention every 3 times you're busted. There are 2 types of detention: lawn mowing which occurs during autumn/spring/summer and snow shoveling during the winter months.
• Lawn-mowing:
- Level 1-3 (grassy lot next to the Harrington House)
- Level 4-6 (grassy lot next to the school's parking lot)
- Level 7-9 (football field)
• Objective: Cut 60/70/80% of the grass before the timer runs out.
• Reward: Prison Uniform

This honestly seems pretty tame compared to real life. Suspension or expulsion won't happen unless it's in the storyline itself.
Probably because the headmaster thought he could "tame" Jimmy. He was kind of right in the end.
We actually had these detentions at my old middle school back in 02 the campus monitor made us mow lawns in the courtyards and pick up trash around campus

Trivia: The detention theme used in the game were actually originated from another Rockstar Game called The Warriors, however the music is unused for unknown reason and then get reused in Bully, so that's why while the other music has this school band feeling, detention music sounds out of place.
