  • Wow...a superzoom for your Fujifilm. Today, we look at the 100-400mm from Sigma.
    This lens was sent to me by Sigma Corp. I didn't get to keep it. I wasn't paid to make this video. Sigma did not see or pre-approve the contents of the video.

    5:05 while the fujifilm 150-600 is f5.6-f8, i own the fujifilm 100-400 and it is f4.5-f5.6 but it does have a larger filter size at 77mm. both it and the sigma are fantastic and lovely lenses though, but the fujifilm 100-400 has the upper hand in terms of light while the sigma is just smaller and more affordable.

    Eager to see the sigma 23mm review. I have the 56mm and love it, but need something a little wider. I was pretty much sold on the 23mm after seeing other reviews on it a couple months ago, but then the Viltrox 27mm came along and I'm undecided again.

    This is going to sell. Sigma makes great optics lately and at 1/3 of the cost! The 18-50mm is already the best travel/street lens, it's lightweight, perfect size, amazing image quality, close focus distance, and sharp. For the 100-400mm if you could get this clear image of the Vessel with the XT3, I can imagine the stabilization on the XT5 will be even better! I think it's better to buy this lens than the XF 70-300mm. Again, everything is subjective. Thank you for another great camera gear overview!

    Always watching your videos.
    At 5min odd you compare this lens to the 150-600. Surely it would be better to reference Fujifilm's 100-400, which at 400mm is f5.6. It is also worth noting that at 400mm, the 150-600 is f7.1 so the max aperture at 600mm is not that relevant when comparing to a 400mm lens.

    Good alternative to XF100-400. Wish Sigma brought this a few years back 😞. Would've saved my wallet and of course the weight and dimensions are worth buying over XF100-400. Bought my XF100-400 in 2018 now that is a keeper having spent so much on it.
    BTW I cannot understand why all reviewers are telling about the push pull zoom as a fea😲😲 ? My 3 XF zoom lenses (18-55, 70-300 and 100-400) can be zoomed that way! So also the old Sony A mounts (1680 CZ and 70300G) I have. Even in the Fuji XS1 that brought me into Fuji fold the lens can be pushed and pulled to zoom

      That lens is smaller than the Fuji 100-400mm and lighter by 200 grams. The 70-300 with TC will offer worse optical performance and 2/3 stops less light gathering.

  • @matthieuzglurg6015
    @matthieuzglurg6015 Před rokem +1

    I have this lens! I mean not the *exact* same, I have the Nikon F mount version, which is identical as far as the optics go (they just added length at the base of it) that I use on a Fringer NF-FX adapter.
    Optics are great, stabilizer is pretty solid, doesn't matter if it's full frame or not, it works! The AF on yours is probably better though haha.
    Also I'm not sure if it's able to fully utilize the 40Mp sensors, it's sharp enough for 24/26 but not really sure about 40, especially wide open
