I did the same combination, but with Shy Guy, and it still works.
My personal 200cc recommendations (i primarily play 200): Lakitu, Yoshi bike, Leaf tires, and Gold/Standard Glider. This combo works really really well in 200cc for some reason, and I can almost guarantee it'll work well for you!!
EDIT 05-18: The roller tires, specifically azure rollers, seem to work even better; paired with yoshi bike, mini turbo charges up extremely quickly.

I just tried the combo in 200cc. I was having trouble getting 3 stars on triforce cup and special cup. finally got 3 stars on both cups

I dont have the mini buggie so i use the streetle and i also dont have the cloud glider so i use the parachute its really goos cuz i was very far ahead on 200cc and i use babg luigi or baby mario

I feel like Nintendo failed with 200cc. I am playing the Grand Prix right now and I just get bombed by red shells and blue shells, yet the Ai never get hindered, they don’t even have to slow down for turns or drift. Somehow they are able to just go full speed through every course with no problem yet my cart can’t. They made it completely unfair imo

I swear to God ever game on 200cc i get like 2nd 3rd maybe but thats at the start at the end 7th gets on my nerves

Hey can you help me out? I have Mario kart 8 and just got booster course. I’m trying to play with multiplayer but booster course is not showing with that. Is that not for multiplayer? I want to try new wave with a friend.
