Das Janoska Ensemble hat für sein Arrangement dieses musikalischen Kleinods die sanfte Seite des Janoska Styles gewählt, indem Sie der Melodie von Yesterday über weite Strecken die Linie aus dem Präludium von Bachs Cello-Suite Nr. 1 in G-Dur zur Seite stellt - was im verhaltenen Pizzicato gezupft ganz besonderen Charme hat. Das Ergebnis ist eine sehr stimmige Version, zumal Yesterday schon seinerzeit durch die Plattenfirma mit einem Genre-Etikett namens »Barock-Pop« versehen wurde. „Wir wollen uns nicht unbescheiden mit den Beatles vergleichen“, sagt Julius Darvas, „aber was sie seinerzeit in der Popmusik erreicht haben, streben wir heute im klassischen Bereich an. Wie die Beatles die Popmusik revolutioniert haben, wollen wir in gewissem Sinne die Klassik revolutionieren: Wir lassen bei der Interpretation klassischer Werke die freie Improvisation wiederaufleben, was etwa zur Barockzeit noch etwas Selbstverständliches war.

JANOSKA ENSEMBLE new album "REVOLUTION. Listen now: uma.lnk.to/Janoska_Revolution. Yesterday is thought to be the most often covered song ever. For his arrangement of this musical gem, the Janoska Ensemble chose to apply the soft side of the Janoska Style, by playing the tune of Yesterday for long stretches alongside the line from the Prelude of Bach’s Cello Suite no. 1 in G major. Plucked in a restrained pizzicato, this has a special charm. The result is a very coherent version, especially when you recall that the record company at the time gave Yesterday the genre label of "Baroque Pop". "We do not want to compare ourselves imprudently with the Beatles," says Julius Darvas, "but what they have achieved in pop music at the time is what we strive for today classic area. In a sense, we want to revolutionize classical music, just as the Beatles revolutionized pop music. We revive free improvisation when interpreting classical works, something that was something that was taken for granted in the Baroque era, for example.”
