It's a disgrace that whistleblowers in any industry get targeted more than the wrongdoings they expose.
It's more than a disgrace. It's disgusting.
@@jvvoid Consulting companies are a joke. I feel ashamed that I applied for their graduate program. Funny how they set extremely high standards for new employees and yet all the high executives and all the way to the lower level managers are all lobotomized 😂
Always the way here in Australia. Shoot the messenger, repeatedly. Because they'll expose the corrupt or inept. Snitches get stiches, basically.
Its not just the industry, its every walk of life, people really don’t like ‘snakes’
Yeah, just ask the whistleblowers from the FBI, IRS and DOJ.
The last one is being treated so low you could guess some may be below ground level.
When satire is actually the reality everyone refuses to accept.

when there is no jail time awarded for these acts of anti-tax related espionage by PwC, can we officially let the guy go who blew the lid on the ATO... can the double standard stand... the gravity of PwC's actions here are really quite staggering, earth shattering in a sense, considering their reach... PwC looking to the other big 3 for assistance; them looking back being like, well, we haven't been caught...
It’s almost treason and absolutely nothing was done

This has probably been going on for ages, and we've only just found out about it, what about the other 3 consulting companies, how much taxation advisement have they performed for the Australian government?
@@VenturiLife all consultancy will likely be reviewed, PWC dropped the ball for all of them...
People in Australia have literally been killed on the street for stealing a pack of biscquits.
These suited bandits rob the taxpayer for hundreds of millions...
... and the Government (does not matter if they wear a red or a blue tie) keep telling the people there is no money for education, health and welfare.
"Worse of all he didnt even make any money off it"... well, if he did it for the good of the country, he will be shown no mercy!
i dont think mercy will be shown. that's the point.
whistle blowers that do the right thing get punished, and millionaires that profit and do the illegal stuff get off scot free. because the punishees know who their next govt contract is going to or donor and kickbacks are coming from......***cough Scott Morrison applies for job at PWC***cough
@@pbfamous07 its a sad state when people who expose immoral behavior are punished and those who commit it are let off.
@@duncanwallace7760 it harbours back to political party funding, just give them an alotted amount for ELECTORALCOMMISON then you don’t have all this disgusting lobbying, consultancy and corruption. We live in the best nation. Let’s make the big decisions that reflect it.
All these crooks should think about their forefathers that died for our freedom and how they would feel about their behaviour. Makes me sick
I think the saying "No good deed goes unpunished." is relevant here.

its so currput when it comes to tenders, every. one is circle jerking, mostly white men of course, and then all the snakes that support them and get paid lots of money
You got rejected I guess 😂
You must have failed the honsty test.
Remember, always steal the pen you are given and try to pickpocket the $20,000 watch they are wearing.
Sounds like a moment for Rob Sitch and Working Dog! Perhaps we give them 30 year Commercial in Confidence contracts....
This would be funny if it wasn’t so serious. Frankly, this firm should never receive any more government work. Ever.
Australia is actually SO screwed.
Now do one on foreign Chinese residential property ownership.
And rural too.
I think there's gonna be a huge massive gigantic block. About the size of a country, but it's really just a party size.
*All* overseas property ownership. The Chinese are just a bit more recent.
Right on the 💰
Crooks
Justice to Richard Boyle and may all orher govt whistleblowers be protected in the future

Private consultants seem to be right up there with financial planners - not sure I can handle too many more revelations :(

Why was a firm, a substantial contributor in designing cross border tax minimisation, asked to advise the government on how to alleviate the problem? Sydney Morning Herald
Ask the liberal party and snow hookey there the ones that set it up
PWC… it’s appalling if they ever get another government and therefore taxpayer funded contract.
It's not going to stop. They're one of the biggest firms and government agencies are always going to need consultants.
I recall an ultra high net worth client once telling me that his fellow wealthy friend had all his money managed by Swiss bank UBS. Apparently he never paid a cent in tax each year. I guess we all know who helped make that happen now.
Thanks LNP for giving the job to help reduce tax evasion to the firm actively helping companies do that exact thing. Brilliant move.
It's not isolated to any party. They were trying to do a good thing. This wasn't meant to happen so they couldn't have foreseen. Every government uses consultancy firms.
Both parties use their services, so that's not it. Just as both parties use the public service internally, it's not optional because the government simply lacks the skills. This has shown however that there are no proper checks and balances in the public service to catch this stuff happening within the consultancy firms engaged to do work for the government, and not turn around and actively rip off the taxpayers for their corporate clients when they spot a loop-hole.
The hubris of these execs is something else, they need to start putting them away for 20 years with no parole, but they won't because the judges went to the same schools as they did most likely and the law is an ass. If there was serious jail time potentially involved they likely wouldn't try this on.
@@VenturiLife I agree tbh. But the fact the public service isn't capable of doing the consultants job is unfortunate. Though some people wouldn't want them to do it in fear of "big government" and a reasonable fear of lack of competition. However there were no real checks and balances in place to stop this. I imagine if the government said the execs would face criminal charges if they leaked the info, then it wouldn't have happened. But people in power are rarely held accountable
Nailed It! PWC will be visiting the NACC aka ‘the knackery’ in the fullness of time, at the appropriate juncture.
But you wont see a thing of it, way to embarrassing for the Government at the least, maybe even revealing, hence forth not for public eyes or minds
IBM didn't. After charging about 5x what one of their IT software projects was meant to cost the state of QLD. They got put in the naughty corner for a while, until the media uproar died down, then were brought back in later.
Why is this not considered as 'Insider trading'?
An independent review contracted out to a big 4 consulting company concluded it was not insider trading.
The old mate's investigating mate's and naturally finding no wrong doing again Nathan lol
An ever growing Public Service and yet we need more and more consultants ... WHY?
The first priority of any consultant is to make sure you never build up any in-house capability....so you need to rely on them forever.
First priority is to tear down your internal capability, THEN make sure it can't regrow.
Omg!! Brilliant 👏 👏 👏 👏
Well done! What can we expect when the government puts the fox in charge of the chickens??
Yep liberal party
Anyone else skeptical of whether any white-collar crime involved here will get punished? Imagine if it was blue-collar crime!
Spot on , public TPT fare evaders are in court every day of the week , these guys on the other hand
Keep those satires coming, mate
Hey, you panned the camera before offering the shrug! That better have been a pro bono camera panning.
Punish the corrupt partners and Protect the whistleblower
I work for PwC and it annoys me as an auditor that we are tied at the hip to these consultants. What we do is supposed to be totally different.
Sorry but it’s going to be a bad year for pwc… I’m sure you’ll rebound and the cycle will continue
Get out while you can. You’re on the titanic
Should go the way of Enron
Leave now, it is a toxic culture, it will drag you down.
As an Auditor, you are equally complicit in the wasteful gravy train that is PwC
Can't wait for a new season of Utopia.
PWC Prime Working Convicts
The elephant in the room is how can the government be trying to hide companies tax liabilities. Secret taxes really!
lol is all I can say , we not joking need Robin Hood in Australia
"This could have been avoided if government wasn't outsourced"
The typical boomer response to any financial problem in any industry ever, love it.
It seems a sensible response - not limited to boomers. After all, if the private sector were not involved, the profit incentive would not be such an ever-present conflict with service provision.
If it quacks like duck , now go change your nappy
Where you been Mark???
As my old Psych mentor was oft' wont to say, "Dinna fergit the fee". (yes, he was Scottish - on his mother's side).
Another example of Barstidization of the common man....are you a joiner or a resistor ? Spirit is watching...
How long has pwc and other 3 been doing this for.....that's can do capitalism
Crooks advising the other crooks.
Genius!
Makes a change from using a fax machine to cheat the bookies from on course racing..
Why is a news channel engaging in satirical content?
Ah, LNP policy in action...
NOT a Liberal policy. All governments use consultancies
Mark Humphries' beard is on point
"Small Government" is the answer, it will save money and build trust - apparently, Mr. Morrison
Any time those ideas are repeated, "PwC" are now the tell tale warning of why a good public service is essential
PwC isn't just excelling in Australia!
Love how scomo was to much for pwc 😆
Even PWC has standards
The Prime Minister for Sydney just wasn't useful for them.
Beardface is offensive.
what is he doing ?
Is that Barry’s son?
God grief no!
Mark has actual wit, intelligence, and talent, not just one joke rehashed over 70 years
Would be funnier if it didn't seem so accurate.
Hahahahaha
Say NO to the ABC!
Bernie PwC Madoff. toronto canada.
It's funny because it's true. 😃😢😭
Kkkk BTK empire Anthony Pender phillott where's my investment at 15 per cent interest and when do I receive my money
Painfully unfunny.
Wild to hear they thought they were too good for sco mo lmao im sure he wouldve fit right in
I heard it was the office pet policy-he wanted to to bring his faithful lump of coal to work & they wouldn't budge.
And Australia wants Julian to be set free !!!
Satire: the use of humour, irony, exaggeration, OR ridicule to expose and criticize people's stupidity or vices, particularly in the context of contemporary politics and other topical issues. That is why I could not get this bloke. I thought humour was an essential ingredient of satire but I see ridicule alone qualifies a person to be called a satirist.
Funny that LNP were the government that allowed this to happen. ALP have to find and fix it.
They should be banned
Brutally unfunny
amen
I mean, not all satire is funny funny. I saw this more of making fun of how PWC handles public perception/public relations when shit hits the fan - and I think that's what they were aiming for.
I donno, that "job blow" joke was pretty good.
found the pwc employee
Big 4 employee?
