for the chokeholds, i don’t think it matters they can get air into their faces, if the windpipe is collapsed, it’s not going into their lungs. but i think he mostly uses strangle holds, which cut off blood flow by compressing the carotid arteries in the neck; so oxygen might get to the lungs, but it’s not reaching the brain, and the respirator is irrelevant. if, however, your point is how does he even fit them into any kind of hold with all the gear they’re wearing… it’s because he’s 🦇🚹
Does anyone else ever wonder how Batman chokes out these guys when they are wearing some sort of air filtration device that covers their entire face?
