He was alright. Nothing special compared to the likes of J Dilla or Pete Rock. I feel people force themselves to like doom to feel like they know hip hop, but real hip hop heads know it’s just a hipster thing to be into doom

One of my biggest regrets is not knowing MF DOOM before his death. Though as a new fan, post-Mortem…I listen to his voice and know he’s out there still resonating through his lyrics, his music and compositions. Thank you MF DOOM for your benefit to humanity you will forever be missed ❤️

It sounds like these two actually recorded together even though it's a fan-made collaboration -- not every artist is like that, the man was truly one-of-a-kind, thank you for publishing this on your channel 🙏, so far my New Years 🎉 is off to a great start!

This album was my whole summer of 2023.. with Christmas and New Year's around the corner, i'm curious what's next. In 2023 alone, I became an uncle with another nephew on the way. I got to see Phoenix and Beck live at the Red Rocks in Colorado. Smoked some great grass with the bois. Hell, I even started going to the gym and lost about 25 pounds while gaining muscle. There were some hard times.. struggled financially.. but all in all.. not a bad year
This combination is phenomenal. It gives me the Avalanches - Wildflower vibes in the best way possible

@@telegrahamsinspace what I meant with my reply is that Tatsuro Yamashita is certainly not "semi obscure". He is one of the top most famous Japanese artists and has legendary status, the godfather of citypop, as black Sabbath is to metal.
@@SheffAlex I wasn't aware of the legendary status until I found the 1982 For You album about a year ago. But I don't necessarily mind being corrected or what-not.
