The stone walls look lovely, lots of work getting the plaster off. The design on your pot reminds me of me of designs on some indigenous pottery l have, l like it. Worth keeping and repairing if possible.
We’ll definitely keep it Cynthia as an heirloom of the early days at The Hidden House. 😊

wow beautiful stonework under all that plaster, would be nice to have a feature of it somewhere; like the idea of knocking out the doorway to the extension could be a sort of feature doorway with an archway or similar?

We thought exactly the same. We want to leave a section of the stone exposed on the interior of the cottage. 😊

I'm so happy for you that your inspector came and gave you the OK to get going on the work. The stone walls are looking good, they're going to be gorgeous! After Roy's last adventure when you were all there, I'm surprised to see him off-leash, did he promise not to get distracted and run off again? 😂

The stonework looks fantastic, so did Noels pot, shame that it cracked but still pretty marvelous considering the limitations.❤

Where is your better half? she missing all the fun! That stone wall is amazing, will you consider a stone wall feature, a nod to Irish crafts men of the past. I think the old stone walls look amazing. The pot is still lovely. I’m sure it’s the uneven firing caused the cracks. Thank you for this video. Cheers.

Your pot is lovely, sorry about the cracks but it's been a terrific learning experiment for all of us. Stone wall reveal is exciting as sweet Roy watches you - nice to have his company.

Ah, whereabouts are you located? Is it an Irish cottage? Thank you for saying really positive about our cottage. We did have someone calling it a pile of **** and saying we should knock it down: Bit we love it… and it’s staying put! 🙌🤍😊❤️
@@TheHiddenHouseIreland I’m in Roscommon! Tis about 200 years old and needs everything done to it! I’ve also been told I should knock it and start again! Mine looks like it’s in ok condition but the previous owners just plaster boarded over all the problems 😂
@@morrigans_cottage oh no, it’s a common habit I think. So far we’ve been pleasantly surprised by the stonework. The pointing is crumbly though so we’ll tread carefully re-pointing from the top downwards.

There is just something about scruffy black dogs. My boy is 12. Meant to be a teacup poodle. But tough little man he is.
We love scruffy poodles too. Can’t imagine Roy with the bouffant haircut! 🤣🐩
