I’d like Kia to put a larger battery and larger motors in this for more range and horsepower. In EV mode it has just a little more horsepower than a Kia Niro PHEV and the combined horsepower is the same as the smaller Kia Sportage PHEV. My 21 Rav4 Prime has more than twice the horsepower in EV mode and about 40 more horsepower combined in a smaller lighter vehicle. I’d like to see Hyundai and Kia getting more competitive specs with their PHEV’s but they’ve stayed the same since I bought my RAV. To be fair Toyota hasn’t improved the specs on the Prime but they were way ahead to begin with.
Enough batter to get the full EV rebate (50km or higher, just 2km more) would help a ton too. Only getting 2500 back instead of 5000 makes this less competitive on pricing too. That's up to double in some provinces.
Compare this to something like the Outlander and since the Outlander is a series hybrid you have full power output in EV mode but since it gets a shade over 60km it gets full rebates so in a place like NB the Outlander PHEV LE is roughly the same MSRP as a Sorento EX (52k/53K respectively) but getting 10 grand back on the Outlander makes it the obvious choice.

We are with you on the light headliner color . ! Dark is the new popular claustrophobic only choice with many MFGs. We have a 24 telluride in Florida with gray leather and headliner. Really love the CUV . I don’t get why in Canada you can’t get exactly what you want. I’m old enough to remember you could order a cigarette lighter and about 5 interior colours. We considered the Sorento EV or PHEV but the dark interior is a no for us. It seems the website shows a REALLY blue interior yet what you show looks more gray. Very confusing but thank you for your videos.

What is the best type? Ex or sx
They’re both great choices, at their core they are the exact same vehicle. If you prefer more tech and comfort features & are willing to spend more money, you may prefer the SX model.

Any update on 2025 Hyundai Elantra
Our first 2025 Elantra has been received - but it is the N spec. However, we haven't seen any of the non-performance variants yet.
