That is such a sick retro color combo. I am in love!
Not gonna break the bank!?!??! Get back in your box Pinkbike
seriously, they talk about 4 grand like it's nothing. That is very far from a budget bike.
@@nathanjamet5915 compared to other bikes, it is much better for the specs.
Considering the other bikes in the series have been ranging from $6000 to over $9000, $4k doesn't seem so bad I guess
I love the AOS sensor. It’s my main rig, would NEVER change it for Horst link.
Made me feel better straight away finding an old guy other than me messing about with this stuff !
Good to see RC on a video review.
Is it just me or are these reviews getting worse? I am sorry go critize so harshly but i felt like there were many contradictions in the whole video.
E.g. it starts with her saying she felt very far forward on the bike and then the guy sounds like he wants to start an argument, because it was supposedly something else for him. But in the first clip you see him being very close to an OTB nontheless...
And then with the last bike was, there is no difference between the performance of GX and X01, so why not invest the saved money elsewhere? In todays video it was mentioned as a nice mix of SRAMs GX and X01 12spd drivetrain or something like that. Is it the pricepoint the reason for that result?
Yea the trail series was a disappointment compared to the enduro. The presenters were just saying random things to sound technical it seems like to me
Hey Luft Atmer. All bikes feel different depending on the rider and their preferences. We did state in the Habit video that the money could have been saved, but that was because it's a pretty expensive bike. But for the GT which is fairly cheap and a bit on the heavy side, it made more sense to mix the two.
@@ryansansom4354 yeah, i share your opinion there
The presenters sure have their right to be on the test squad, whag they said just sounded a little random to me as well
I think you had to listen twice and think quite a lot, to get what could possibly be meant
Maybe there is some experience missing? But that's just an assumption and I don't wanna be unfair, in the end it's just about bikes, fun and love
@@pinkbike yeah, okay that's a fair point, as i said though, i think it wasn't that clear and cleanly communicated
I thought the last one they did was excellent, this one did feel a bit off imo
trek fuel ex 8 test ?
This bike is a much improvement from there shitter past model. That I have broken 11 derailleur hangers this year!
Review on trek fuel ex please!!
I bought a alloy sensor when they came out and I have found quite the exact opposite of what they are saying in that it goes down like a machine and is only good on the climb (this is with a much taller bar/stem combo ,more aggressive tires and bigger brakes) though it definitely isn't light weight
Damn looks absolutely sick
I love everything about this bike, especially the gumwall tires. Now just give me some less poopy colorways and I'm sold.
Scott Genius review with ramp + rear shock?
"4,000 is not going to break the bank." Funny.
Dogs breakfast of a review. I prefer the GMBN approach. What's it good at. How's the value. Who is it for? Kinematics sounds wonderful if you say it enough though.
4 G's damn I bought a Scott for that
cooolllllllllll man 💯💯💯🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
what is the intro music????
Tire color is hot bit!!
Hmm, looks like GT just borrowed the Maestro suspension from Giant. My old Trance had a nice platform, and climbed quite well, but the rear wheel got hung up a lot, just like you said about this bike.. I always blamed that on the Maestro's crazy long chainstays (17.3 on a Med, 27.5). I don't know what the CS length is on the GT
I have a 2015 Trance and thought the same thing. The frame on this thing looks extremely similar. Maybe Giant is the OEM for these 😂
Wow, I spent about 4k on my 5010, and that has Sram NX...
Im very confused does it climb well or not? Does it descend well or not?
Climbs fast but a bit uncomfortable, descents well for a trail bike but not confidence inspiring.
Well its a bike which compete whit the giant trance that you test 2 days ago . However the trance win because parts
The AOS climbs like a mountain goat.
Where's the carbon gone in the 29 pound.
RIP THE I-DRIVE
GT meaning is God Trail Bike 💯😁✌️
Skinwall tyres yes please.
Requires a certain bike and colour scheme. A very polarising look for sure
Lol. I has realized at the end that is is a GT not a Trek
It feels like the production quality for pink bike has taken a big step but the content doesn’t feel so informative. A bit short and vague and lacking the character of older videos with all the new scripting.
That slow mo fork flex is interesting to see. Would zero or a tiny bit of flex be way better?
Why on earth would they spec it in 5h1t brown with gumwalls? The majority of people would simply walk past it in a bike shop. Still... Bet there's a lot of good discounts in 2020 for MY19 stock.
And some people walk past drab earth tone bikes in a bike shop too.
Your point ?
@@danhenderson783 eh? It is a drab earth tone.
People buy on aesthetics + functionality and there are many many functionally superb bikes that also look great. This may pedal like a dream but the colour scheme won't do it any favours.
Dude almost went otb lol. Need a bigger fork for sure.
I was so disappointed when I heard GT got away from their AOS suspension. Why did they? I had a 2014 Sensor and that thing was a blast. GT screwed the pooch.. what a shame.
Nice can u send the bike here I’ll give a review from my point of view just started riding 😅👍
Dare I say it? Looks like you should run a longer stem, or size up.
ouch....
Dear Santa..
Another bike with extreme flex in the headtube. Most these bikes you guys test are not worth the dough. Not even close. The yeti and the santa cruz are the only ones that kept the flex in check. And i would need to see more instances of that and the yeti rear end is super flexy. So just the sc.
Flex isn't necessarily a bad thing - if you had a fork that didn't flex at all it'd likely deliver a very harsh and jarring ride.
Isn't carbon stiffer than aluminum? I would think a front aluminum triangle and a more ridged swingarm or rear triangle would be the way to go. But hey what do I know🤷🏻♂️
If a bike is going to flex, its preferable to have the flex in the rear rather than the front.
it depends because funn bikes have carbon rear end and aluminum front end
Ok so you guys didn't like the bike? Why not just say it?
4 k? is that guy last name Goldstein?, LMAO, tell that rich dude to buy me a Scott Genius
4K?? Who’s your demographic? Engineers? CEOs? Physicians?
Damn, that's a killer deal, bike looks super cool.
Bummer I'm not a fan of gt bikes :/
So it's a mess...dynamic wise.
No not gonna break your bank only 4 thousand dollars 😂 and yes ik this is a good price for a bike of this quality
Wow 😮 that’s a pretty bike 🤮
I can tell this old guy is reading a script
GT went in the WRONG direction.
wont break ur bank, $4000 plz
Нихуя не понятно, но очень интересно
yeah these new reviews "feel" scripted and generic. if i wanted to hear numbers and not genuine opinions, i'd watch bible of bike tests. the first round of reviews were refreshingly better/different from those. i like to here you guys say "the bike feels like this (insert non-spec millimeter fact here) " and "this bike is best for this kind of person" etc etc. not someone reading from a script of facts.
Q
GT should sue for posting such a idiotic review. Both riders claim it was one of the fastest bikes they tested on that course. Both riders also complained about "climbing ability and/or descending ability"
WTF ?
So... New GT... BLAHH...
That bike looks so awful in that color with those tires.
@@danhenderson783 It could have been a homage to 80s bikes that started the Mtb craze.
Instead it became a reddish-brown nightmare with a too dark decal to match the tires and all black parts.
Would have looked better in chocolate-brown, the decal color a little brighter with some gold-flakes an gold accents on the parts of the bike.
It simply looks awful, that's my point, written that before.
The bike looks amazing I like the retro look and you gotta understand that the color does not define the bike but I do respect your opinion
What did you think of the GT Sensor? Let us know below!
I love the look of it and I know that it is a trail bike but the geometry is perfect for gravity and enduro, as long as I could add a longer fork it would be perfect for me.
Such a sick colour
Judging by this review.. No Thanks!!! So far you guys did the best with the Trance... I'll hold my tongue till the SB130 tho! A bit breif and rushed too... Take your sweet sweet time on these because if you don't someone else will certainly make these videos seem Obsolete! Cheers for effort! Don't cheep out on description & time explaining all your thoughts and feelings 🧐🤘
@@nerfdude1675 Just get the GT Force. Fixed.
