😁 thanks for watching!
@@ParkRovers Like an IAAPA show floor.
I was at Tweetsie for the 1957 open.
Wow! I would have loved to have seen the park back then.
@@ParkRovers I was 7 yo. I remember the cooler that I shared the back seat with on the trip, better.
Also cool to see the IAAPA coaster find a home...
Made many visits to this park over the years!! Glad it's still around!
Tweetsie is still going strong! I had a great visit last year and this year was even better. 😁
Great Video 😊
Thank you so much! 😁
i drive by this almost everyday of the week to get to work, i think i should go sometime!
100%! I think it’s a pretty cool park with a lot of history.
Hope to go soon thanks for the video
Awesome! Thanks for watching 😁
Tweetsie railroad is the best place to go to in Blowing rock I love that place I was up there maybe a few weeks ago and I’m going again in about a week
Agreed! It’s a really good park.
Im from this area. I can remember getting scared as a kid when they had the gunfight at the fort and the "indians" ran on the train through the aisles. Looks like that isnt in the show any longer.
Yeah, the “Indians” were retired in 2020, supposedly due to lack of staff.
The show now seems to be updated for every season. I like that some lines are improvised, so every show is slightly different. I do miss the “hot sauce bandits” from the 2022 season. 😂
@@ParkRovers I'm surprised they were around that long. I figured they were removed due to the political climate we are in, which I could see if someone might take offense with how the natives were portrayed in those shows, especially back when I was a kid in the 80s. It is all for fun. But in reality the poor natives got wiped out. It was just a different time. Thanks for your videos. I really enjoy them. Best wishes.
Thanks so much! I appreciate the support - we just run this channel for fun 😁
Yeah, Tweetsie needed to modernize the show - even though it was nostalgic for so many people. “Staffing” is the official reason, but I think you’re right.
I’ve been here but a coaster was never here
They haven’t had one since 1994! 😳
Do you know you can buy the ghost train toy
I think I remember seeing that! Awesome 👏🏻
@@ParkRovers Ok
NOT the first park!
I assume you're referring to Tweetsie's claim as North Carolina's first theme park. There were certainly many electric parks and amusement parks before Tweetsie, but my understanding is that all of the other "theme" parks opened in the '60s or later. I've been wrong before though 😆 -Andrew
@@ParkRovers You're quite right! My brain backfired. There is a huge difference between "Theme" and "Amusement" Lakeside Park in Charlotte lacked theming and was purely an amusement park.
@@rama30 To be fair, most people use "theme park" and "amusement park" interchangeably!
@@ParkRovers True, but we know better!
