Following value investing, entered Vascon Engineering, Skipper, Trident around 10 pe, waited for turnaround/tailwind, waited for 4-6 years & exited at 25-30 pe with 3-5X profit. Example Skipper flying with 50pe not comfortable as eps growth impacted by high interest cost. Still holding Time Technoplast as it’s pe 22 & sales growth supporting pe & promising TAM. Only exception Intellect Design Arena is trading 42 pe,still it’s GEM as it’s IP backed products may create TATA Elxsi kind of returns. Huge loss occurred in Yes Bank, Kesar Petro & CHD developers. End of the day, following your teaching from Covid time is really helping us to transform us as true value investor. Thanks a ton 💐🙏

You always say you study the company and set the buying price then wait for the price to come to your buying zone. Also, you mentioned it took 5 years to complete the buying. Could you please make one detailed video on the topic. This will help us to improve our investing skills. How do you study, how do you define the buying price, how do you decide we bought enough, how do we decide to cut the position. Please share some examples. please consider this. Thanks.

My small caps are iex, thyrocare, bank of Maharashtra, rcf, cdsl... Also i know above all stocks are 40 PE.
Those(USP stocks) are not trading below 20 PE even before corona, so its difficult to buy cheap valuation...

I am buying TMB. It is P/E is 8. As of now, i dont see anything wrong with the bank. It trades around book value due to ownership issue. I am one of the customer of TMB bank. It has low minimum balance in my hometown compared to other banks in my area. I believe nadar community needs this bank for their future growth and it is wealth management.

I was confused why the bombay based bank discussed here gave away 3.25 crore worth of shares to his driver, househelp when the news surfaced in the media...shyam sir if could clarify on this it will great so that we can stay away and also learn..i have less than 5% of small stocks...i am happy with the returns i make in large cap...also i am not a big fan of arbitrage trading if the business prospects are not good if you buy for arbitrage and if share falls below the arbitrage benefits we loose all the benefits and potentially incur losses

Sir, I have huge respect for you...just enlighten us, as you warning us about smallcap from Dec 23 end, from there index itself gained 30%..As you said june 4 th you bought some stocks, it maybe just 20% fall so you just waited for this ?? Rest of the time you sitting with cash ?? I read somewhere your large & mid cap performance almost ranked 4th around 70+% last year ?? How you beat the index without fully invest ?

Sir why do you educate us how to determine the value of one company. Pls take one company and teach us how you will arrive or determine the price for it.. by doing so only it will actual educate us… instead if u keep saying means we are not able to understand. Example iam thinking Caplin point we can give up to 18PE but in your view or way of investing what should be the right PE or price for it

Hello Sir, You are saying only smallcaps are overvalued but currently all segments(largecap, midcap, smallcap) are overvalued only due to retail investors lumpsum/sip inflow of more than 30k crore every month in mutual funds. I dont understand sir, in all videos you are speaking so negative only😢. If u say diverisify the portfolio with multicap funds or flexicaps funds, atleast that make sense. You are completely asking to avoid the smallcaps. I can see in comments people blindly saying stopped/paused sip without doing their own research. How many of you checked the annualized nifty smallcap index returns for past 10 to 20yrs comparing the nifty largecap or sensex returns. Smallcap Index beaten sensex most of the time in past 20yrs. If our goal is long way to go for example 10 to 15yrs, even some 20% negative returns if happening next year also will not have much impact over 15yr returns if sip continued in disciplined way. For example hdfc bank in 1999 was trading at 5Rs may be smallcap only at that time. He is speaking about fund manager will not stay long over 20yrs, that may be correct and in this case we can go with pasive funds nifty index smallcap 250 fund as stocks will be auto rebalanced 2 times every year. smallcap mutual funds preferred over smallcap stocks due to very high risk. Am also posted my observations only and not recommending anything. Sorry for my annoying comments as well 😂.
