I missed this live stream but I'm watching it now and there's some useful insight in here, Roberto. I agree that content should be created for value towards our target audience first, and then the brands that align with it will follow through. Brand deal or not, well-niched content and overall content value has to be at the heart of a channel. Myself, I just reached 1,000 subscribers a few days ago and I'm about to resume posting videos. No brand deal yet, but I'm focusing on content quality and will be posting just as if I had partners.

I feel like "working for free" seems unattractive because it requires perspective. If you focus on the short term that seems like a loss because you probably won't get immediate returns. In playing the long game you gain trust, credibility, and more opportunities. So is it really working for free? Or is it a long term investment? Just my thoughts.

Thank you for this, Roberto. I'm a new CZcamsr, like you I have tons of experience as a marketing professional (inhouse and agency) plus I have journalism (print and TV) experience. Just very recently, I was sponsored by a consumer electronics brand here in my country eventhough I only have 1,500 subs and 40k views. The reason why they sponsored me, it is because I made two videos of one of their wireless soundbar because I like that particular product. My video helped increase the product's online sales. It's just a give and take situation.

Big takeaway for me is Vyyyper’s closing call for teamwork from the creator community. The struggle here isn’t us against each other, the larger movement is the building of an economy that financially rewards creators for the good they bring to their sphere of influence. 50:09 I may have heard wrong but, should be thinking about conservation efforts! This would build a serious level of trust with a certain audience. It's very possible he could do a non-profit as well. I think people think non profits don't profit... Which yes they don't.. but that doesn't mean it's volunteer work. The people who work there are paid lol that opens up avenues for grant money... Tax free money... And as an employee he can essentially set his price. There are some more complicated aspects yes.. but it's worth looking into

You at the very least need to listen to 2:06:06 but I would recommend you listen to the “podcast” over the course of several sessions if you need to. There is some serious gold in here.

At 1:05:00 you're talking with a gal and say "accept the fact it didn't work out". YOU don't know it wouldn't work out for her. It MAY not work out. You'd be surprised at what's successful...so many obscure things.

You have a lot of engagement, but if you don't mind a bit of criticism, you aren't replying to the comments. The algorithm probably notices that.
I tend to on my Other videos and only when not overwhelmed. Because of 1000 videos I get comments across them and so it’s not always me replying to comments on the latest video but rather whatever is in the queue
