In this video, I'm taking you through my favorite Ikea showrooms, pretty Ikea decor pieces, and Ikea storage ideas you can use for your small apartment decor. And the main mission in this Ikea shopping trip: to find a closet for the new apartment, because a decent amount of closet space is the one thing it's lacking. We seriously need to up our small space storage game for this new place, so Ikea was calling to us!

True love is assembling some IKEA furniture without strangling each other. 🥰🤣

Aw thank you Sunny! One of these days you should give Ikea a try, at least just to have the experience once, haha. And yeah, the way Kobee looks at me melts my heart!
Instead of the smaller stand-alone wardrobes, I would suggest a PAX frame, customized with your choice of doors, unless you're just planning on having it for jacket storage at the front door. My fave small space storage items at IKEA are the HEMNES shoe cupboard, BILLY bookshelves (I like adding lower doors, new knobs, and replacing the upper wood shelves with glass), the NORDEN gateleg table (comes in white or pine), and various iterations of the KALLAX shelf units. Other than the NORDEN, I believe all these items come in black-brown, for a moodier look.

I love a trip to IKEA - even a virtual one! In fact a virtual trip is probably better because I don’t spend shedloads of money and I don’t end up exhausted! The cupboard you picked is great; I have the Brimnes but I use it for clothes.

Haha Kobee and I had a long debate about brown vs white. I leaned more on the white side, and he really wanted the brown! I like the brown too, so it was a compromise 😊

Hope you’re able to get that closet in brown. It had a nice amount of storage. When I go into IKEA I want everything! Think you’ll keep most of the furniture from your studio? Tip: Don’t get the Kivik sectional. I bought one and it’s the most uncomfortable thing I’ve ever sat on. The back & seat cushions slide all over so there’s no back support. Finally sold it on Facebook Marketplace.

That's the plan! We're keeping pretty much everything, then just have to get certain things like nightstands, a new desk for each of us, and so on. 😊

Also a big fan of faux plants. Yeah, yeah, I know, real is best. That presumes plants can survive my stellar neglect. I've yet to find a plant I can't kill. Both my sisters inherited my Mum's green thumb; my younger sister actually had had garden featured in House & Garden. But no, I inherited my Mum's short legs and my Da's artistic talent (neither one a good thing! LOL0
If you ever decide to get a real one, I'd recommend a jade plant, I've had mine for over 10 years!

You should check out Laura Melhuish-Sprague's channel. It's amazing how they transform and elevate Ikea closets so they don't look cheap. You might enjoy.
I've been thinking about going to ikea (it's pretty far and shipping is $$$) I saw several things that would be perfect.

have you guys considered a custom closet (or like a closet you put together with separate pieces) so it's exactly what you need?
