  • This is the cheaper alternative to replacing the whole wiper assembly. The procedure should be similar with most newer Hondas.

    Just spent about an hour at the dealership and 2 techs, a parts guy, and a service manager were telling me that I had to replace my blades because Honda doesn’t make blades like mine. ALL IT NEEDED WERE THE DAMN REFILLS. I hate dealerships

      That sucks. You can do some car maintenance yourself. CZcams has a lot of tutorials.

    Honestly, why did Honda have to make this so freaking complicated? It's either go through all this trouble to replace a rubber blade or buy a whole new assembly for crazy money

    • @OEMEangg
      @OEMEangg  Před 5 lety

      I'm trying to save money, so I just buy the inserts.

      Be wary of Napa refills metal strips were not wide enough to stay put inside the arm. Reuse the Honda strips if you possibly can

      Well, if it stays in place is all that matters.

    Hi thanks for ur video. I got a question. Can I still replace the rubber into the non original Honda wiper?
    Thanks for ur answer.

    • @OEMEangg
      @OEMEangg  Před 6 lety +1

      If it is non-OEM (not original), most likely it won't work. It may fit, but it won't fit perfectly like the original. BUT if you have the 2006- 2011 coupe , you can order the whole wiper arm with the blades online from Honda. Driver side Part Number: 76620-SVA-A03 and Passenger side Part Number: 76630-SVA-A04. They are about $50-$60 (form wiper arm and blades/refills) plus shipping.

    I have a 2010 civic Windshield wiper which has a different set up, can you help.

    • @OEMEangg
      @OEMEangg  Před 5 lety

      It should be similar. 8th Generations Civics are model year 2006-2011. Unless you have aftermarket wipers.

  • @MrHuck

    Dang. Replace whole arm on driver side twice now. I’ll get a refill for passenger side.

    • @OEMEangg
      @OEMEangg  Před 5 lety

      Yeah, they get expensive. Replacing just the refills work just as good.

      Mine doesn't have the end piece either. did you ever figure out how to remove it?

  • @rickkstir
    @rickkstir Před 3 lety

    Mine 09 has steel inserts that have to be replaces as well; and does not have that lock at the end as the inserts perform that job. So over complicated.
