According to several British that posted replies. Richard the homeowner whom is allowing the Ukranians to stay in his home is receiving a $300 quid stipend from the government. If this is indeed the case it's not a free stay and the British taxpayers are footing the bill. With over 13,000 British ex military sleeping rough on the streets why didn't Richard offer take a few of them in?! Something isn't adding up here.
Why would they stay to go into the meat grinder? I don’t blame them for wanting to leave Ukraine. However there is absolutely no need for them to be in Ireland. Not neighbours, no history together. Go to Poland where they are understood and have similar way of carrying on. Peace talks ASAP so they can head back to the home they love so much. Not impressed so far with the ones I’ve met here.
This guy was kucky, many of them were shot dead by AZOV whilst trying to flee the border, however zelenskyy has teams of recruitment officers that will happily break into people's homes and drag the men into a transit van where they'll be on the next suv to the frontline. Interesting that the majority of people absorbing western propaganda are completely oblivious to the fact that America started this conflict back in 2014 when they supported a coup in Ukraine.
@@user-zu7bo3yg6i Point the finger at the government and stop voting for the Tories. It's a fucking disgrace that 100,000s of people are sleeping rough on the streets - but please, make no mistake, the homeless and poverty-stricken of Britain have absolutely no correlation with the refugees from Ukraine. This was a fabulous video. My heart goes out to this family and the pain they endured to get out of Ukraine. As the son of a refugee ( my dad was Austrian, his family fled the Nazis), I can only begin to understand their story. The food looked great too! I hope that one day they can return to their homeland.
Is he a refugee? How could he leave Ukraine? Since the beginning of the war, men of military age have not been allowed out of the country. That is a fact. In Ukraine, everything is sold and bought. This man paid money to leave. He doesn’t want to fight for his homeland, but he raised his country’s flag.😏 A very good example of the conflict in Israel/Palestine. Thousands of Israeli conscripts living abroad had returned to their homeland, not fled.

Fantastic vlog!! what a great story!!I am so glad there are thinking of starting a business in the north of England!!I talk to 6-8 Ukrainian friends regular and there are such nice people!! the food looks fantastic!!
I thought the Ukrainian men stayed to fight for there country.honestly its the same in Ireland.🤷🏻♀️
This is bottom of the barrel, ignorant thinking - blame the bankers, the politicians, the billionaires, the corporations not paying their fair share. THAT, is the real issue
@@stevenb3854 What's the alternative? Labour would make England new Englandistan within days.
I Traveled to The Ukraine, Russia and Poland in 1979 with a Jazz Ensemble. Kiev and Kharkiv were among some of the Cities. I loved the Food and the Culture. Ukrainians are extremely Friendly People.
The Ukrainians you met were extremely friendly people.

Excellent. Great to have this insight into Ukraine's food culture. Really pro-social this. Nice one Danny. 🌟👍
Such a sad story as a mother it would break me to leave my child behind but you have to do what's best sometimes, glad there back together and I hope Ukraine live in peace very soon and there country becomes bigger and better than before ❤
Food looks delicious 😋
Slava Russia
What a lovely family. I wish them all the success they deserve. Well done Danny for highlighting them!
Discussing, many uk people on the street, including ex forces
@@newsnownorthampton I assume you meant disgusting.
I'm not going to get into an argument over how thigs are done. Yes the government needs to deal with things here. But really, have they ever given a fuck about us?
This was just a comment about a unusual circumstance and at the end of the day, someone did summat so they're not on the taxpayers bill.
This was a fabulous video. My heart goes out to this family and the pain they endured to get out of Ukraine. As the son of a refugee ( my dad was Austrian, his family fled the Nazis), I can only begin to understand their story. The food looked great too! I hope that one day they can return to their homeland.
What about the ex British forces that Fort for this country, and the homeless that are on the streets this man is curupt
@@newsnownorthampton exactly and Ukrainians get a free house yet there's homeless on the street suffering
@@newsnownorthampton I won't dignify this remark with an answer.
What a lovely family and the food looks amazing! 😋
Glad u were able to flee the war and stay safe sound like lovley people all the best for the future god bless Ukraine
Good luck to the lovely family . A Lovely video Danny well done.👍
Slava Ukraine
Is he a refugee? How could he leave Ukraine? Since the beginning of the war, men of military age have not been allowed out of the country. That is a fact.
In Ukraine, everything is sold and bought. This man paid money to leave.
He doesn’t want to fight for his homeland, but he raised his country’s flag.😏
A very good example of the conflict in Israel/Palestine. Thousands of Israeli conscripts living abroad had returned to their homeland, not fled.
If you listen to the story he and his wife were visiting a different country at the time the war started. Their daughter and the grandma had to drive away to escape
@@alekizzu4705 After the terrorist attack, Israeli citizens in other countries voluntarily returned home.
@@user-iq5ik4fj2c maybe the guy just wanted to LIVE and be there for his wife and daughter. Is really easy to sit behind a keyboard and act like an warrior but I assure you if it was you in that situation you’d be the first one to run for your life.
@@alekizzu4705 I just cited the people of Israel as an example! You can't know what I would do if I were him. But what I do know is that in his situation I would not wave my country's flag, and I would not pretend to be a patriot.
@@user-iq5ik4fj2c you can be a patriot and not go blindly to die. He is a patriot for representing his country, introduce his country’s cuisine to the British and he is a patriot for raising his beautiful family. You are just a keyboard warrior, a troll full of hate and sadness
Absolutely beautiful. Nice episode and all the best from Australia. #standwithukraine
CURRENT THING
That's a solid 10/10 Well done to all involved
This was one of my favorite episodes. I really enjoyed learning about the Ukrainian culture and food. I also appreciated how he shared their story of survival. I wish them all yhe best with their catering business. Kudos to their neighbor who helped them out, what a kind soul. 👏
Maybe you should research what Ukraine has been doing to the Donbass for the past 9 years
Wow! I was in tears, to see them thriving here and supporting them makes us all so humble! Had they not left Ukraine these beautiful people would not be in this video. Your a wonderful human being Danny a credit to mum and dad. Slava Ukraine 💪
Did this family fight for Russia or the Nazis during WW2?
I've been able to try UA food many times, and it is fantastic. Good luck to them and all Ukrainians.
Nice car nice house been waiting 4 years for a house well done live long and prosper in England good luck ❤️❤️
That struck me straightaway, 9794. They're not ya average Ukranians, especially both speaking in a "foreign" tongue proficiently.
@@blackbob3358 Because of our illegal immigration problem, we have working class Ukrainians homeless on our streets, whilst we're housing those who don't deserve it, and have no right to be here. This couple are extremely lucky, and evidentally middle class, so they've been able to avoid becoming homeless. It's a real issue our government needs to sort pronto, as it's a disgusting disgrace. No ukrainian should be on the streets, and no illegal should be housed. End of story.
You want access to services and nice things in this country, either become Ukrainian or go to France and jump in a dinghy
@@blackbob3358 Aye indeed, houses where i am that look like theirs and the surroundings have been selling for 1 mil+
@@emu_warrior - I guarantee that most of the people making hateful comments definitely did NOT watch the video. While a few of them may be existing channel viewers, the majority were probably just mobilised specifically to come here and make anti-Ukraine or pro-Russia comments. It's pretty pathetic 😞
Also to add this video is lovely . Pray for everyone in Ukraine . God bless 🥰
Thankyou so much for this video it gives a marvellous insight into how the Ukrainian family have dealt with the devastation there country has had to endure ❤
Really beautiful story out of something so sad, I hope that they enjoy their new home and country.it’s one of the things i love about this country, that we welcome anyone, even more so a hard working family bringing something new to us.also a massive thank you to Richard 🙏 god bless you
You ate well there today! And something completely different. Makes a nice change from the usual giant burgers, loaded fries and kebabs 🙂 What a nice family!
Ok. I didn't need to cry today but here we are. God bless this man. May his family stay safe forever.
Ukraine, You ate, You conquered
I have watched quite a few videos about the Ukraine, as I studied the country's history a long time before it all kicked off. it looks a lovely country and some of the food looks divine. They also seem like really approachable people.
There is one particular dish, the name escapes me, that is like a savory croissant-shaped bread filled with cheese, vegetables and meat and normally served with a side of soup.
Pyrizhky? Although it is more bun-shaped than croissant-shaped.
😂😂😂 You forgot about the YT videos and nazis everywhere present and past how convenient of you, oh yeah being most corrupt country in Europe and the rest
Pyrizhok. ❤
It’s crazy what’s happening in Ukraine is a beautiful country and weatlhy so seeing the war makes you think it can happen to any country which is scary but I’m glad this family has found somewhere safe for their child to grow up, also they’ve came here and set up a business straight away which is inspirational. ❤
Have to be honest this is the best video you’ve ever done Danny! Great lovely family ❤
refrugees aint what they used be
Wealthy? NO
I’m a Boltoner🩷 I order from this family at least once a month. Absolutely one of the best meals I’ve ever eaten. Such lovely people too.
What a fabulous video and story, thank you 🙏🏻
They have more money than me and i was born in this country. And their house is way nice than mine.
Great to see you showcasing something different, Danny. This beautiful freshly cooked food looked so good, not just a mess of loaded chips and burgers. More, please!

What a class episode that food was unreal made with pure love.
What a wonderful family and the work they put into the food is amazing!
not doing too bad for being in the country 2 mins , good on em.
What a bloody great story... all the best to them and their future 👍
Without a doubt the best video on your channel. Such a courageous positive family given all that they’ve been through and making the very most of the situation they find themselves in. Good luck to them.
So courages he left his fellow men to fight. The coward needs to get back there sharply
this guided format food tour is a very nice change! Looks so natural and delicious!
Best video you’ve ever done. I love Ukrainian food and that all looked outstanding. Great to hear the story too. My comment is purely based on what I’ve just watched.
Shocked to read some of the negative comments this video has received - some are offensive and hurtful.
They have been removed and will be if offensive and derogatory , like we did on live comments. People have a opinion but some of the stuff was very very unkind 😢 x
I agree with you completely! There's no need for the nasty comments that some people have put on here. If the tables were turned and they found themselves in the same situation, how would they feel if people said things like that about them?? Prejudice has no place on here, they need to get a life!
@@pammyb1972if tables were turned I'm pretty sure I'd stay n fight not run like this coward. The People of Donbass have been murdered by the Ukraine since 2014, no sympathy at all for this family
Up my neck of the woods pal. It amazes me how fluent a lot of foreign visitors are at English. Lets hope their future is brighter than the past few years they have endured.
That food looks soo damn nice, I'm drooling here!
His future is brighter than the last few years? He was skiing in Austria when the war broke out. And now he’s living rent free in the U.K. and claiming our benefits. His future has never looked brighter.
@Sophie Malin I believe they will have to go back after 3 year's I read somewhere but I maybe wrong

Brilliant episode mate, from Australia, any awareness to what these poor people are going through is amazing. World will stand with Ukraine for as long as it takes ❤❤
Don’t be stupid. Ukrainian blood is being shed so the Americans and British can sell weapons
