This guy seems tired, perhaps it needs water. These spiders are harmless, unless you're alergic. They very rarely bite and if they do, apparently it's not much worse than a bee. I found many of them near Paphos and Coral Bay, they hang around in the banana plantages. Found some on my bathroom towel, on a table in a pub, drowned in a swimming pool, in the garden..
I wouldn't worry too much about it. People I know who have lived here their whole lives say they have never seen one. They think I am lucky! People often confuse these tarantulas with the big wolf spiders we get here but they're not the same. The wolf spiders are big (had a few in my house) but they look quite different to these tarantulas. They aren't dangerous. We had a scorpion in the exact same place in the garden not long ago. I didn't get it on video, only pictures, but they aren't usually dangerous either. My concern is more for the animals. My cats eat everything they find: spiders, lizards, snakes, so for me it's about keeping the cats safe and keeping the little creatures safe from the cats.
@@TheStumptube So what about wolf spiders? Do they sneak into apartments? They can be gigants to. Scorpions do not scare me so much, even if i certainly do not want them in my apartment. Good that you are thinking about your cats.
@@heww3960 i caught a wolf spider once. (Not at home) It didn't even try to attack me. It's kinda weird how it didn't defend itself ,i could be a predator trying to eat it lol. I've never seen a wolf spider in a house. The only spider i remember seeing a few times are the small jumping spiders. Also i've never seen a scorpion in Cyprus either. I've seen a centipede in my house 10 years ago. The real problem in Cyprus are big cockroaches. I see them every summer in my house. They come from outside ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww. I wish we had spiders in the house instead of disgusting roaches. If you live in a city the chances of finding a big spider or scorpion in your house are even smaller.

I am thinking about moving to larnaca, but Iam scared of spiders. If i see a big spider like that inside the apartment, something inside me would die.
