The sell/trade/giveaway advice is so essential. I can get asking price from folks locally without having to ship and it stays in my camp. Talk is cheap but put it in their hands and you are half way toward getting rid.
great video, i also keep a small power bank to keep my phone charged if needed
I keep a back scratcher strapped to the Velcro straps on my bag. Learned that from always keeping one in my car.
Fantastic list! One simple suggestion I have is to put everything (that will fit) separately in small sandwich or Ziploc bags. This will prevent chalk residue or items rubbing together, will keep quarters easily findable, etc. Never thought of nail clippers! Smart. Thanks, B!
Nice!
I love the air tag idea! I still have joint protectors on my, must get, list, I'll be adding the bridge. The first thing I learned and put into practice from watching here..."Anyone can improve their game by 20%.." 😊
Living in Southeast Asia.
Around pool tables: baby powder: extremely common, air conditioning: extremely rare.
I could go on and on, but those two you mentioned made me laugh.
Q claw. More handy than you think. And of course extra chalk.
Weights (Unilock), sand timer, bandages, protein bar, granola bar, towel, claw, advil, reading glasses, etc.
Got it!
I clip my nails at home, so I'm ok on the nail clipper. The Air tag is a good idea. I have 6 things in my bag you didn't mention: 1. a Claw or cue holder. 2. an extension (I use an 8" C/F) 3. Chalk! 4. Towel (crying or wiping. Or both) 5. Spare shaft 6. Quarters for coin tables. Great convo starter tho Bryan!
yes cue holder
When I was a young lad, still in university, all of the fashion dandies of the boulevard wore waistline aprons to protect their fine tailoring from the harsh elements of the tables.
Yes, I still have my apron!....Cheers mate
Cue extensions are good to have
Thanks Brian, great video. American Airlines lost my cue case on the way from Las Vegas to Australia via LA. Courtesy of my airtag I was able to tell them it never left Las Vegas and in which terminal my case was located. Got it back the next day!
Good stuff- good way to leverage technology
I never used to use a glove, and once I started playing again I purchased a glove and its a game changer...always has the right feel in my stroke so its a must! Great ideas here..i have most in my bag already.
Absolutely
I love the Apple AirTag idea and the Kamui bridge. For me, one of the most important thing in my bag is the muscle and joint pain reliever ointment/gel form, Voltaren works for me. It relieves pain or discomfort on my fingers or shoulder even knees.
I wear eye glasses. Just cleaning them with your shirt can cause problems like streaks, smudges and especially scratches. Just like the packaged alcohol wipes I carry lens wipes and/or a lens cloth. It helps when you can see what you’re doing!
Instead of nail clippers I have a Leatherman Juice multitool. It’s come in so handy.
I also carry a battery pack. With the APA using an app nowadays, it can be a pain if your phone dies. Not every place has accessible sockets.
Good stuff
I feel good , everything you mentioned I have except a rack template and an Air
tag which I'm not familiar with. I also usually carry a small travel size container of Tylenol and/or Allergy pills in my bag. Most of the players I shoot with including myself carry an Aramith Red Dot cue ball. Thank you for another excellent video .
Thanks for watching and leaving your comments.
The 800 Fargo is the only thing I forget to pack every day. I keep reminding myself too smh
Apple air tag? good suggestion.
I got pencil pouches at Target and pinned them in my cases’ side compartment like yours. Helps keep everything in place. My most important thing an index card cheat sheet. I look at it when having a bad go. Stay down, follow thru focus etc. It helps. 😮😅❤
Telescopic bridge. Awesome to use because you don't have to extend it fully. And as for talcum powder, for a short time I tried using it. I would put it in a salt shaker and when i was in a place that served food, the waitress would take it away.
Great tip!
I keep one of those small travel size baby powders in mine. I use it occasionally with my carbon fiber shaft when washing my hands doesnt cut it or I don't have time. No regrets.
Antacids, pool night, free pizza, pressure…. I can get heartburn (Even without the pizza)
I also carry a small note pad and pen for many uses.
I bring my own measle ball at least that is one check. I bring my own bridge. Need break cloth and tip tool. My own chalk too, Russian Magic. Thank you.
Those are good ideas to have.
Love the air tag idea
Thanks for watching
Only works for iPhone.. Android phone users seem to be out of luck.
Chalk, sandpaper, advil & a small notepad/pencil to keep track of progress/drills. Only have the notepad because of you Brian 😆
Great list. Never thought of a few of these. I carry small pieces of 2600 grit sandpaper. I also have chapstick. Thanks Bryan
Very good. I appreciate your comments
Great share. Thank you
Thanks for visiting
Several hundred in case action finds me. Tiny scissors, for the annoying threads off my glove that pull my eye. Tiny tape measure. Glass beads/coins to mark games under the rail. Band-aids. Rapid release Tylenol. Flat tip scuffer for quick at the table use. Loose-leaf reinforcements for drills. Shaft diameter template. Mushrooming tool/shaver. I also attach a leather bag to the outside, designed to hold my phone, AirPods, car keys, instead of leaving them on the table when in a distant room.
Good stuff - thanks for watching and thanks for your comments
I have the same predator case same color but I only have a tip tool, glove, and bridge. I use a 4in extension at all times that goes in middle of cue but I think a extension of some sort is also a good thing to carry. Thanks Brian for sharing your knowledge I appreciate you
Your views mean a lot to me. Thanks for watching Teddy.
As a glasses wearer, I carry a lens cleaning cloth. I've used it more often than you might think!
Great tip!
10. Bite my nails
9. Got it (In Case......no pun intended)
8. Got It- wound cleaning
7. Nope....Oh well
6. Got It.....A few actually
5. Got It.....Hardly use it
4. Got It...Necessity
3. Got It....Losta few this way
2. Got It.....Way too much of it!
1. NEED ONE when I finally can get out and play.
GREAT VIDEO
Thanks for the video, it is so useful. I also have a spare shaft, dent repair glass rod, tip master (needle like cue tip tool), plastic (sand paper like, some people call it "cue smooth") wipes for the shaft...
Thanks for sharing
Didn’t think about the old equipment to sell… good one
Yes, I have missed a lot of opportunities - but then again I have an emotional attachment to most of my stuff and could not sell it even if I wanted to.
thanks Brian, always informative! about the template rack, I had no idea there are ones that you can roll up. my problem with bringing template racks to pool halls is that it always gets bent somehow. I'll have to research those! thanks again.
Playing league, I got in the habit of keeping a plastic storage clipboard. Even though we've migrated over to the scoring app, I still like the clipboard. I use it to hold my rack templates (laying flat) and snacks and whatever odds and ends I don't want to fit in my case.
The problem with using a measel cue ball is you will have to pay to get it back on bar box. Also i really like the Last Forever tip tool.
That’s why I mention league night because they usually open the table at most places
Amarinth sells good magnetic cue balls (measle & others) that go to the cb return on bar tables
Missed one. If like me, you have long hair, a pack of hair ties, Cant count the number of times I went to the pool hall with my hair down and halfway through the night just wanted it out of the way.
Certainly one I would not have remembered to add to my list. Thanks for watching.
Aspirin, bandaids, paper reinforcements, microfiber cloth, OJ in case your sugar is getting low. Love things you want to get rid of. 👍
Yes! Thank you!
Bring your own chalk
I put a playing cue in my bag 😂😂😂
I like to keep BC powder in my bag.
A miniature bottle of Bacardi Gold!
Ty for Video... can u put up a link for Break Cloth?
You don’t need a link for brake cloth, it’s simply a swab from the cloth that is on the table. You can also use any thin material from an old shirt, handkerchief, etc.
But Bryan, I like the powder!! If I could sing and moonwalk.....
What cues you got for sale Bryan? I have never used a glove. What is the best glove in the market you recommend?
I have not used a lot of different gloves, but I have predators second skin and they’re made very well
Eye drops I keep in my bag
Good one
Hello Bryan, I have a quick question please. I know in one of your videos you spoke about this I believe. If I bought a 21oz Predator P3 Revo and took the weight out. Do you think it would weigh 19 oz. Thank you very much I appreciate it.
I think it would weigh 18.5 ounces but if you call Seyberts Billiards they can tell you for sure. Also note, you might need a special wrench for the P3. I don’t think the wrench is expensive
@@FXBilliards thank you Bryan very much I really appreciate it
The micro fiber bags that come with sunglasses are great for cleaning carbon fiber when you're out of alcohol wipes
Nice tip thank you
They're all isopropyl alcohol diluted with water.
Does that accu-rack template roll up without damage, wrinkles or folds to it? The plastic ones are pretty much unusable if they get a fold in them.
There are some brands made of cloth that you can roll up and put in your bag
Hi Brian reat video, I carry advil & gum....also traveling to Philly this weekend is there a store you recommend for pool accessories. I'd like to actually look at some bags. Thanks
About 15 minutes south of Philadelphia. International airport is a place called Monarch Billiards. That’s where I go to get a lot of things. Call first for directions 610-833-5100.
Thanks Brian. Im visiting my son on Broad street any good billiard rooms i can visit?? Btw Awesome videos. Your impressive bro!
Center City, North or South Broad? Temple U would be North broad and the only place I could recommend is on campus. There is a spot "Ball breakers " not far from the airport but might not be the safest place for out of towners.
Don't forget an extension!
I keep a small Keychain tape measure. Why idk but i get asked to borrow it often..
I think it comes from people wanting to measure the pockets. The reality is it is pretty easy to use two pool balls to do so but players like to measure the pockets, especially when they are missing.
Better and more space saving is a folded paper tape measure. I use it to measure pockets.
no air conditioning? I believe it.
Does anyone use green scrubby pads to clean their wooden shafts ? This has been recommended so I’m trying it. Any thoughts ?
I’m a big believer in using things for that which they are designed- there are enough great products designed for pool cues. That said -I have used a magic eraser on some old cues.
@@FXBilliards Thanks a lot. Great answer because 10 seconds after reading your response it all made sense. I’m going to use alcohol wipes in the future. The whole scrubby pad idea didn’t set well as I thought it was even a mild abrasive. Take Care
I know some use magic eraser.
Chalk perhaps?
I’ve got to say I’ve never played anywhere in the last 30 years where they didn’t have a case of chalk, but I guess that makes sense
Spare chalk, or does that go without saying. At some point your existing cube (or whatever) will wear out. Last thing you need during a match is having to fiddle with chalk. Break out that new cube (or whatever).
Check his other video where he explains what is in his bag. Yes, you should always have spare chalk. But if your chalk color isn't a close enough match to the table cloth color, you should make sure to use the house chalk instead. Don't use blue chalk on a tan colored table.
What about a pool cue holder. I see some guys and girls prop there cues and chairs tables just so they slip and it the floor….uggg
Good one
Quarters drink tokens pen or pencil chalk
Good stuff
Eve joint protection holders. So they are not running loose in ur bag.
I had a set of joint protectors go missing one night lol ever since then I just toss them in my bag
Absolutely -thanks for watching
Eye drops
Very good idea
Hi Brian,
Long time follower and I appreciate all of your knowledge.
Just wanted to offer…
Break cloths…. I make something better, that’s not felt. I can put any design on them for you!
Let me know if you want a sample?
You can send one. Our address is at fxbilliards.com on the contact us page.
extensions
Always.
Add chalk to your bag
Get a couple of those dental pick things and put them in a small baggy. When you get older your teeth move a bit causing gaps. Nothing worse for a distraction than having a hunk of that pool hall chicken sandwich stuck between your teeth way in the back where you can't dig it out. Getting old sucks. clippers, dental picks. Might as well throw a Depends in there as well. Advil for when you get that screaming headache. Glasses cleaners so you don't smear your glasses with that burger grease. Bryan we are all just a bunch of old fuddy duddys.
Hang nail!!!! Awesome. Powder hell no. Great video!
Yes! Thank you!
BAND AIDS! Im a wood worker and i get a ton of splinters and cuts every day. Then i leave the woodshop to go play on filthy tables in seedy little dive bars after work each day. I feel disgusted putting my open wounds on those dirty tables. And im sure the other patrons dont want my blood on the table either. So... band aids
Good one.
