That is freaking gorgeous. Been waiting for this review. The presentation of the 89 is very similar to my Ultimate Works BMF, but the execution of the 89 is so much better. The crystal chamber is a thing of beauty.

I don't know anything about these lightsabers. Coming from a person who makes a hobby out of crafting things, I am interested in the materials used in making these.
I'm here looking for ideas for a walking stick I'm making. I plan on setting a quartz crystal, pointing out of the top of it, with LEDs and a power source under the crystal and inside the handle area of the waling stick.
$1000.00 does seem like a lot of money to me. The hilts are very nice looking, but I have a hard time understanding the price to value. Do these appreciate or retain resale value as a collector's item? I have never had one i my hand. Are they hard to manufacture? Are there materials being used that are more expensive than what I can see from my screen? Maybe you can help me understand? Thanks.

I’ve got a Jedi Dooku and 89 Mace Windu ordered and hopefully shipping soon! Your reviews are definitely the best and the tipping point in my decision making. Can’t wait to get them to go with my Korbanth Obi Wan TPM and KR Qui Gon!

I recently purchased this exact lightsaber: some of the parts on the handle fell off and required me to re-glue it myself, other than that this is a great lightsaber with amazing detail
Mace Windu's saber is one of the best in terms of ergonomics (especially this new version you reviewed) therefore I got one but as a RGB version, it's so gorgeous
First, congratulations for getting to 10k subs. Well deserved.
Second. This Mace Windu hilt is very, very nice. Top notch. That crystal reveal chamber just pops. I do like that glow effect it has. I just would have worries about hitting that middle button and having the cover fall off.
Final. I've the Ultimate Works BMF. It looks similar enough to your hilt to satisfy me enough. It doesn't have as good crystal chamber though, but saving $400-ish works for me. To open the chamber though, you have to unscrew the emitter to pull the cover off.
Hello there, the plate covering the crystal is REALLY stuck on there so there is no way you will accidentally hit the button. :) MTFBWY
Hey Jon, THANK YOU for this great review! I just purchased this lightsaber (though different vendor) and it is AWESOME! I believe mine is the updated version for 2024 as the core is silver instead of red and it has a proffie 3.9 board in it. Your review helped me decide that this was the one for me and it's my very first lightsaber. I foresee it giving me joy for years to come.

Im looking to get my first 89 saber. I think this is my favorite. Would you suggest any other hilts? Or any brands that are equivalent to 89? I have a TXQ starkiller. But your vids lead me to believe 89 is king.
So far the overall build quality in detail I love on the 89 hilts. And the overall sound tone quality is better as well however, the other is like TXQ and Nexus are working their way up, but they lack in some departments such as sound quality and overall smooth build however they are quite nice and sometimes hard to tell apart. But 89 is not without their flaws either. There have been a few questionable design decisions on a few Hilts and you can’t seem to get your hands on anything but Proffie And that it’s just not my preferred board

1. Does the crystal cover rattle at all if feel loose when playing with lightsaber?

Does any company make a Mace Windu with 100% screen accurate hilt but also electronics…but no cosmetic changes (extra button, retention screw hole etc)?
I think these 89 sabers may be some of the closest screen accurate hilts I have seen.

“Best” depends on who you talk to. I like GHv3 the most over all for my self. I have a handful of GHv3 sabers on the channel and a full walk through video as well you can look for.

Does it have tip drag and stab effects?
Yeah Proffie pretty much all has that. You just need a 36inch blade to see it as that’s how it’s programmed. I use 28-32 blades

I love these sabers but if you think it costs anywhere near 400 to make it or its a justifiable price, you are out of your mind...
cost of retail is never what things cost to make so let’s just think of that for a moment. I have run a business for over 20 years and if there wasn’t a big mark up on products sold there wouldn’t be a business to run because you wouldn’t make your money back back on investment and no money to cover business overhead such as advertising, website cost and the list keeps going. It’s business.
@@TheCollectorsOutpost I'm not saying that they shouldn't turn a profit... its a company... I'm saying that they're turning over at least 100 dollars per lightsaber in pure profit because the price is at least double the actual manufacturing price, at the same time they don't sell as many sabers as say, Pepsi sells a can of Pepsi so they would need more profit per sale to be as successful .. I'm not saying it's stupid and not worth it, I am saying it's overpriced and it's not justified by what it takes to make, like you suggested in the video
