Far Cry 3 Walkthrough - Part 1: Escape from Vaas's Camp and Find Liza

Welcome to the first part of our Far Cry 3 gameplay walkthrough! In this episode, we'll be escaping from Vaas's camp and starting our journey to find Liza, Jason Brody's girlfriend.
Objectives:
Escape Vaas's camp.
Follow Grant's instructions to avoid detection.
Learn basic stealth mechanics.
Reach the jungle for safety.
Find Liza and plan the next steps.
Walkthrough:
Cutscene Introduction:
The game begins with a dramatic cutscene showing Jason and his friends captured by Vaas. Pay attention to the dialogue and the atmosphere, which sets the tone for the game.
Follow Grant:
After the cutscene, you gain control of Jason. Grant will instruct you to follow him and stay low. Move cautiously, sticking close to Grant to avoid alerting the guards.
Stealth Tip: Use the crouch button (default 'C' on PC) to stay hidden. Avoid moving too quickly or making noise.
Distractions and Avoiding Detection:
Grant will create distractions by throwing rocks. Follow his lead and move when the guards are looking away.
Stealth Tip: Pay attention to the enemy's line of sight and use cover effectively. Stay behind objects and move only when it's safe.
Taking Out Guards:
Grant will teach you how to take down enemies silently. Approach the guard from behind and use the melee button (default 'F' on PC) for a silent takedown.
Combat Tip: Silent takedowns are crucial for staying undetected. Use them whenever possible to avoid alerting other enemies.
Navigating the Camp:
Continue following Grant through the camp, avoiding detection by using cover and timing your movements.
At one point, you'll have to crawl under a building. Follow Grant's instructions closely to navigate through tight spaces without being seen.
Reaching the Jungle:
After a tense journey through the camp, you'll reach the edge of the jungle. A cutscene will trigger, and you and Grant will make a dash for freedom.
Unfortunately, things don't go as planned, and Grant is fatally wounded. Jason is forced to flee alone, marking the beginning of his survival journey on Rook Island.
Meeting Dennis:
As you escape, you’ll be rescued by Dennis, a member of the Rakyat, a local resistance group. He will take you to Amanaki Village, where you’ll find allies and begin your mission to rescue your friends.
Tip: Pay attention to Dennis’s tutorials as he introduces you to crafting, the map, and other essential mechanics.
Finding Liza:
Dennis will inform you about the locations of your friends. Your first mission will be to find Liza.
Follow the waypoint to a nearby outpost where Liza is being held.
Use your newly learned stealth skills to approach the outpost, taking out guards quietly and avoiding detection.
Enter the building where Liza is kept. A cutscene will play, reuniting Jason with Liza. However, their reunion is short-lived as they need to escape from the outpost.

That's it for Part 1 of our Far Cry 3 walkthrough! We've successfully escaped Vaas's camp, met Dennis, and found Liza.
