  • Similar to Christmas, it always somewhat depresses me to see people celebrate Halloween, but not really know why. Thus, in this production, I'll be providing you with a brief history of how Halloween came to be, by documenting Celtic Pagan events such as Samhain, and explaining what we can learn from such collective dementia: remembering the dead!

man that's terrifying, there are people that study the common behaviour of these "entities" and are convinced they're not random dreams/hallucinations. I think a lot of what science can't explain is spiritual.

Not a bad understanding for a Brit, but I feel I must point out that in the Celtic tradition (pronounced with a K, not an S) of Halloween was also a child centric holiday, they got to dress up and pretend to scary entities collecting the offerings left to appease them; demons were said to manifest and roam the night and adults would disguise themselves and give the children a fright while they were out collecting for their feast. Also, Óiche Shamhna is the correct translation for Halloween, it means the night before Samhain, which is the month of November. Beginning on Óiche Shamhna, the festival of Samhain lasted 3 days and this explains why the Christian calendar celebrates Halloween aka All Hallows Eve followed by All Hallows or All Saints Day and then All Souls Day. I'm glad I stumbled across your channel, you've a unique perspective and you really deserve more subs. Happy Sunday.....be seeing you.

I agree with you about how the true halloween feels a bit forgotten for and replaced with a fake, I always loved the occult aspects and history of Halloween over the costumes and candy, halloween time feels a little more supernatural compared to other times of the year, although I love the commercial parts like decorating contests and wearing the same vampire costume every year, in spirit of its past I always make sure to light a candle that night for the souls of the dead to give me peace of mind.

I experienced a creepy black cat entity in a 2010 nightmare. With a sleep paralysis episode, accompanied by a visible black figure floating in the air like it was sitting pretzel legged, before passing out. It was a multi tiered nightmare(willing to discuss the others. I remember it like yesterday, was so vivid and terrifying, with each nightmare worse than the next). I've also encountered what looks like the Rake, as an entity(I call it the Tall Man; hairless, emaciated, disproportionately long limbs, gaunt face, huge sockets, black eyes, no nose, a black gaping void of a mouth).
Swinging back on that cat entity(2nd tier of the multi nightmare) Please correspond with me over this? I have questions and have drawn what mine looked like. I'd like to compare notes. Just the way you described how creepy and defined your experiencing with it. I want to know if that was same entity(Was accompanied by a legion behind it of all sorts of entities. All menacing, sinister, and nefarious).
I'm currently nondenominational Christian. Back in 2010. I wasn't exactly a good Christian.

I've seen some of those things in sleep paralysis. Pretzel legged rake-likes. These were linked with fear for me. The first few times it happened, I had to overcome fear. After a bit, it was more mundane. I remember less menacing things like out-of-place doorways, the lights are on, or just going into a lucid dream and flying away.
I saw black voids, hat man, the demon. I've seen balls of light. I am not sure but I like to think that I see whatever I put into it. I have them very rarely now but when I first stopped boozing, I had them frequently.

For a few months after a I kicked booze, I had sleep paralysis episodes. They occurred so often, I developed a technique to get out of it. For some reason, I've always been able to identify this phenomenon as I "wake" into it. That may be the hard part for others, but if you identify that you are experiencing this, close your eyes and pray or imagine yourself speaking a prayer. It may not have to be a prayer, but that is where I went in that moment. It may just need to be a mantra to get your brain and body to get along. It may be the interrupted breathing while trying to speak as breathing is controlled by both conscious and subconscious. I don't know. I'll try holding my breath next time.
When I am pulling out of it, it feels like I am caught in a thorn bush or glued (elastic, stretchy), and there is a sound of what bowling ball makes as it rolls. Kind of like the sonic sensation when you try to roll your eyes back too far.
I have had these in recent years, but they are dealt with. The last one does baffle me a bit as I remember it as a dream. As if I dreamed about having one, so it may have just been a dream.

Christ those sickos never shut up about that if you open the door so I was inclined to not even ask what they said

Here in southern Spain is even worse. "El día de los difuntos" (how we call All Souls Day) has been quite prevalent until recently, when Halloween (as pushed by the globalization/erasure of individual cultures) started pushing the original day out of the minds of the general public.
See, around here there hasn't ever really been a celtic culture, instead there were the Tartessos, the result of a mixture of the native tribes and Phoenician merchants, and they didn't share their traditions with the Celts at all, so no festivity that would turn into Halloween. Then Christianism would come and the rest is history (not counting moorish times, of course).
That said, I'm not even sure the Celts from the north of Spain even celebrated that proto-Halloween the british Celts did.

The story of Samhaine or Halloween is a bit older than druids. And a bit less romantic. It is a day of celebration by forces of evil of seemingly inevitable loss by forces of good. No costumes were needed. Anyways, to shorten: you're smart guy, Alex, don't miss out stuff and read about Samhaine, Yule and rest of pagan holy days (NOT Druids, they are sort of same as christians: taking older traditions and representing them as their own). Thank you.

Alex would you ever consider doing a video on a strange phenomena I've recently witnessed, and thats this new generation having absolutely terrible relationships with their family and parents. I see posts all the time on social media by presumably young people about how they are going to throw their parents into a nursing home because they punished them or some other minor inconvenience. Its very troubling and concerning to me especially since I have two younger siblings that are getting a better childhood than I ever had however I am noticing the same behavior from them. I think it's no coincidence either its a planned attack on the western family unit

I have experienced sleep paralysis a couple of times, and it is truly terrifying. Mine were a person that I couldn't see and one I was absolutely sure was my mom & she wanted to kill me. Except that I was locked in my room with a padlock (long story but it had nothing to do with my mom)

Sleep paralysis is quite common and they frequently include hallucinations, some people get their first sleep paralysis later in life or not at all.
Waking up minutes or even seconds before an alarm clock goes off is not uncommon either, I don't know the details of how that work but we have a kind of internal clock. These things happen to me at least multiple times a week

Loved the video, one thing though, The Feast of the Martyrs which is in May isn't All Saints Day, there are many saints who aren't martyrs. The earliest record of Samhain is from the 9th century while All Saints Day was dedicated back in the beginning of the 8th. I believe you said you were a spiritual man and in my experience when and where there is great spiritual significance it is present on both sides because it's a battle, for example voodoo in the bayou is big I believe because of the strong Catholic presence there and you can often find them outside the Cathedrals selling their fortunes and curses.

Always remember the Ancestors and honor them justly. This is in all faiths I believe but that's my hope. I've always been a Germanic Polytheist so perhaps I'm biased on hoping people will always honor their Ancestors and their Gods such as I do. Even certain spirits deserve honoring in my belief and it's something to always reflect on.

I remember hearing a short scream and my eyes forced open to sleep paralysis. I then saw a sleep paralysis demon of a creepy gargoyle across the corner of my room on top of ceiling staring back at me. It had a face so ugly with malicious intent that is woke me up out of fear.....
Me, as a christian can confirm that we do believe in 3 realms. Heaven, hell and the spiritual realm. All of the dead rests in the spiritual realm until judgement day known as the rapture will call all the spirits from the spiritual realm and earth into their respective places with their own sub-realms. Heaven and hell have separate layers created based on how the person should be punished or gifted. In heaven you have the permission to see gods face in hes glory so cryptic that cannot be described.
People often think we worship 3 gods which is not true, some don't know what the holy trinity is. The concept of the holy trinity is that the father, the son and the holy spirit are all one same omnipotent force known as god. He is all seeing, He is everywhere and knows everyone. He is the creator of the universe and binds everyone together.
