Born & Raised in Greenville, then the USAF took me to California. Been in CA since 1988! I have visited the Upstate over the years and videos like this are great, Makes me homesick but I do appreciate the vids!
I love the upstate. My wife is from Greenville and all her family is there. Love table rock and ceasars head. And if your into motorcycles, the roads are awesome
With hordes of people pouring in from everywhere else and seemingly endless subdivision sprawl, upstate counties and communities are seriously need zoning and great land planning. Rubber stamping development projects converting raw land into endless cookie- cutter, higher density subdivisions is currently the norm. A glut of housing sprawl, commercial development and road traffic is not a plan, nor visionary for the upstate's future.
Yes, we are being hemmed in by all the cookie cutter homes that will be falling apart in two decades.

These people need to go back to wherever they came from! They will only bring their political view here to make it look back home! But couldn't change what they created back home!
LOL, that happened to San Diego, Orange and L.A. Counties as I grew up, I watched it happen. All the fruits and nuts from every other state. I rarely run into a native. Good luck trying to stop it.

I’ve ran into people who seem to think everyone from some particular states are all a certain way and vote a certain way that may conflict with their point of view, like you. While I’m understanding of your views, there’s no reason to tell people to “stay out”. Keep in mind most people evacuating liberal states are doing so in search of a place that still embodies personal freedoms and civil liberties, much like South Carolina! I’m proud to be a resident now and look forward to helping keep the state as it is or better for those who appreciate the foundation in which our country was founded upon. Nice to meet you, neighbor!

Live in Starr South Carolina in Anderson county but I am originally from Abbeville county went to Calhoun Falls high school attended Erskine college which is another gem in the upstate South Carolina.
we come up from Ga about 6 times a year to Greenville to walk our goats downtown and make people happy

Born in upstate SC. Been here all my life. It is not the wonderful place it once was. Becoming so crowded I just want to stay at home. And, traffic is horrible and litter everywhere has become a problem.

Good effort. I do agree with most of the other comments, but it’s still a fairly interesting video. The one thing I’d like to share, though, is that you put white letter labels, city and area names, on the white part of your state logo. It is hard to read/see white on white. There was not enough color outline. Anyway, we are planning on moving to SC within the year and your video was helpful in our attempt to find the right location for us. Thanks.

I'm a homeowner in the city of Aiken. Years ago I thought it was a gamble to move to Aiken. Just everything has turned out good so far. But only been able to find labor work.
I've lived here for almost sixteen years and love it but it is getting crowded with all the new people moving here and the traffic has become problematic.

I moved to Aiken, SC 3 months ago. So far I love it except that contractors seem to not show up when scheduled. I’m used to contractors showing up when scheduled. I have changed contacted contractors for this reason.
Better get used to it with car mechanics there, too.

How can York County not be in the " Upstate ", when it is further up than any county in SC?
Hey, Mike, good question. The answer, in this case, is more about east/west than how far "up." Because of York County being further east, it is considered a part of the Midlands. Could go either way, I suppose. -- Rick Jenkins

One in Beaufort SC, one right outside Aiken SC in Monettra SC and my favorite Greenwoods Auto 25 Drive in and is owned by a family mom and pops

Huge funding and the best they can muster is 10 minutes. Nothing of substance. Our rep from greenwood had to have a beer on camera. Shameful. Lots of these places repped by outsiders. Not good.
