- "Top Star Bowling" - Brunswick's version of "Championship Bowling." Emcee is Jack Buck. Coming from Marlboro Lanes in Marlboro, Missouri. This week featuring Buzz Fazio, Detroit, Michigan and Glenn Allison (Mr. 900), Whittier, California. The Metro Bowler thanks Sam Lantto, 2015 USBC Hall of Fame inductee, for transferring this video to play on CZcams!
I bowled as a Junior in Waterloo, Iowa at Cadillac lanes. Not too long after my 16th birthday I rolled a 702 in the Saturday morning league. I worked for the Zahn Family in Tempe, Arizona and bowled in league with Wayne and his Father Earl. Great people to be with a work for. I really enjoy the old championship videos. thank you.
Lucky enough to take lessons as a kid from Buzz Fazio...he was a terrific guy and a riot to listen to when he's telling stories.
Awesome to see Mr. 900 in his younger days!
Buzz Fazio is my all time favorite bowler. Loved watching him on a live show on Saturday nights on Chicago TV. I don't know if it was a local show. Live was great because there were some great ad libs by the bowlers.
Good to see Isabelle in her usual seat, and looking very good!
Bowled in league (not on the same team) with Glenn Allsson in the 70's at Keystone Lanes in Norwalk, CA. He's a great guy.
shot 836 on that pair a couple years ago in league. love to see the old video.
Two legends. Post the shot and repeat. Note Glenn's nice open hand, one of the first to use this style.
Years back, I went to a bowling retreat, camp, ran buy Fred Borden, Glenn Allison was one of the senior instructors...he had great stories...
THANK YOU. I never thought i would get the chance to see Mr. Fazio in action. Ive been watching everything i can find on you tubeand i believe that Fazio had the best form of anyone ive seen. Impossible not to like him right off, impossible not to root for him. I hope i find MORE. I would love to be able to watch every broadcast chronologically
I had the pleasure of meeting Buzz in the late 80s, he had recovered from a stroke but he still had the bowling touch as we watched him roll a couple balls in his pro shop..heck of a bowler and person. My father knew Buzz pretty well.
These games are brilliant to watch, thank you for posting. Great players.
Bowled at the old Marlboro lanes just a few weeks ago. Except now it's called sunshine lanes? I believe
VERY GOOD CLASSIC TV
Apparently,those lanes still exist
Anybody know the date of the match or the year it was first broadcast ... great to watch the legends in their prime!
Glenn Allison puts a tremendous amount of roll on the ball.

Commentators:
Buzz was slow to adjust to the inside line. Allison had a 900 series that was not sanctioned. Some felt that bowling hierarchy wanted to protect the sanctity of the game and cheated Glenn out of his honors.
