Well thanks buddy, I was getting frustrated because I just formatted and installed win 10 on the harddrive on another laptop and when I put it in the sony ,it was saying that there’s not an operating system and it was this easy.Thank you brother ❤️

I didnt go through all the steps because it did something different but I restarted and then pressed the ASSIST button while it was starting up. It worked!
Turn the power on, and press F2 or F12 key to take you into the BIOS. Press right arrow to highlight "Boot" in menu. Select the DVD/RW drive, following the instructions in the side panel, and move it to position (1) as the preferred drive to boot from. Save and Exit. Put Windows installation disc in drive, turn off laptop, then turn it on. It should now reboot from your DVD/RW drive. Select "repair" NOT "install" option. If that does not work, try the other options available on the list.
Under legacy I have the two options disabled and y I see yours are enabled is that wrong too? And when I press enter it send me to the same comand with legacy and uef, it doesn't appear the submenu :/
I was installing linux and something wrong happened and same thing happened that os not found for a second I was dead because this laptop is so important it has paid software and stuff u just saved me dude

WAIT FOR A FEW MINUTES THEN PLACE BACK THE BATTERY THEN PLUG THE CORD TO THE WALL OUTLET THEN TURN ON THE LAPTOP LIKE I NORMALLY DID. THEN IT SAYS PRESS ANY KEY TO SKIP SCANNING .DURING MY FIRST EXPERIENCE, I TRIED TO NOT PRESS ANY KEY BUT THE SCANNING TOOK TOO LONG TO FINISH, ABOUT 5 HOURS, SO DURING MY 2ND EXPERIENCE I PREFER TO SKIP THE SCANNING AND ONCE INSIDE THE WINDOW I DID chkdsk /f. the scanning took only a few minutes where it says it fixed the problem. by the way, using "/F" only takes minutes and using "/R" takes hours..
