    On my 3rd week today of Rhinoplasty. I have to travel to the philippines to get mine done there with the best Surgeon in Cebu. Im thinking doing the alarplasty when I come back in July.🥰

    I want this only if they can make the scars internal! I scar easily and would hate to have keloids from this

      Hmm. I wonder if they would be able to do the stitches on the inside? Its now 6 months later and I don't have any scarring left. There were teeny tiny scars at first and they heeled and disappeared.

    That’s crazy that you were awake during that procedure! Can’t imagine the pain you went though after the numbing cream wore off 😬 Nose looking snatched! ❤️

    I had this done with my rhinoplasty & I’m 1 MONTH POST OP & I still have HUGE NASTY scabs. Apparently my surgeon didn’t properly communicate how to clean to prevent this scabbing from forming.

      Oh no! That's awful! Try putting Neosporin on it every time after you shower for the next few weeks. Sometimes Neosporin can help minimize scarring if you use it for a prolong period of time. Hope this helps!

      It's not an easy decision and shouldn't be taken lightly because surgery is a HUGE deal. Make sure you do your research and talk to many surgeons until you find one that is experiences and you are comfortable with (if you decide to go for it). Most importantly, make sure that it's something you want for yourself. ❤️

    How long does the swelling take to go away? I got mine done two days ago and I don’t like it I know it’s swollen tho

    Omg, I can't imagine how much pain you must've been in!! The bleeding and swelling sounds intense :( those stitches, in the beginning, look painful!! So crazy that this procedure caused you more pain than the Rhinoplasty and you weren't put under for this procedure! Your nose looks amazing though!!! :)

    Do you feel like you're breathing through your mouth more? In the video it sounds like it but can't really tell. Is breathing through your nose difficult now?

      My breathing hasn't changed from the surgery. It didn't affect my air passages at all.

      I felt normal a few days after the stitches came out. I was able to laugh and smile without any issues. =)

    During the healing process of your alarplasty did the sides of your nostrils feel hard or firm while it was swollen? And how does it feel now? Does it feel soft?

      Yes, the sides were swollen and tender when I was first healing, but now they feel back to normal.

      At first there was a little bit of scarring, now there is no visible scarring at all -=)

    im on my 2 weeks post op of my alarplasty, is it normal that my alars are still firm or hard? and still can’t feel it. and my nose is somehow up turned ☹️ my anxiety can’t

      I don't remember my alar scars being firm or numb after 2 weeks. Did you get a rhinoplasty too? If you did, then the numbness should be normal. But if it's just alar, in my experience, I didn't notice that. But also, everyone heals a little differently so it may not be anything to be worried about. Make sure you don't miss the follow up appointments with your surgeon and don't be afraid to call them and let them know your concerns.

    hi! i dont know if you’re gonna see this but i will deffo appreciate if you do. Im really confused, i got my alarplasty just yesterday and i loved it. And today second day after surgery, my nose got bigger?? im so disappointed. Do you think its just the swelling and it will look better just like the day after surgery

      Hi! I'm so sorry I'm getting back to you so late, but swelling after surgery is TOTALLY NORMAL! My nose got HUGE for a few days to a week afterwards. Within the first month, sometimes it would swell a little and go down depending on if you blow your nose a lot or touch it a lot. So no worries. Totally normal. ❤️

      It was included in my Rhinoplasty cost. I had my nose bridge, tip and nostrils done. I think everything came out to be about 9K give or take.

    Will there be any scaring is it is visible ?

      So far, it’s been a little less than 2 months and I still have a little bit of scaring. Most of it has heeled pretty well. You can only notice it if you are up close. My surgeon says the scarring should completely or almost completely go away with more time. I continue to apply a little bit of Neosporin on my scars from time to time to help it heal faster. ❤️

      I had both done. I got my nose bridge and tip done about 5 months ago. Then, got my nostrils done last month. This video is just my alarplasty update. I have my other nose job videos in the description below 🙂

    Heya! Did your Alarplasty end up looking upturned and bigger? That’s whats happening to me right now and how long did it keep swelling :(((

      At first it SWELLS UP alot!!! I looked so scary for the first 5-7 days. It went down day 9-10, but got a little swollen again right after the stitches came out. I think it started looking normal after about a week after the stitches. But of course if you irritate your nose, like rub it or put pressure on it, it could swell a little. Just be patient, the swelling should calm down -=)

      I have a little teeny bit of scarring where the incisions where, but you only see it if you are really REALLY up close. It should become less and less visible as time goes on. I still put Neosporin so the scarring will decrease faster. =)

    Why didn’t you get alar plasty done whith your rhinoplasty?

      He felt that after he put in the bridge and raised my tip, my nostrils would naturally look smaller and I may not need alarplasty done.
      But, afterwards I decided to go ahead with the alarplasty because I still was not happy with my nostrils.

      The swelling will go down! Don't worry. Your nose will get smaller over time. =) When I got my alarplasty done, my nose was HUGE at first.

    What about the stich marks are they still vivible?

      At first there are stitch marks, but they are tiny and not noticeable unless someone is really close to your face. Over time they become less and less noticeable and your skin looks back to normal. Just make sure you keep the area clean. I put Neosporin ointment on it once a day for about 2 months to help heal faster and prevent scarring.

      My alarplasty and rhinoplasty was packaged into one price. I paid around 9k with everything. Price will vary from individual to individual depending on what you need for your nose. I'm not sure how much it would be for just the alarplasty. I would assume much less, since it can be done with local anesthesia. I'm sorry I can't be more helpful -=(

      Yes, BUT I am a crazy person. I would not recommend driving yourself back home. Especially if you live far from your surgeon and if don't have a high pain tolerance.
