Interesting, thank you. Please can you make a video of apartments, similar price and equipment, but with a seaview, maybe some kilometers away from funchal city. And: can you say what places on Madeira are the cheapest? Have you some statistics of price developments of the different regions?
The further away from the Funchal the cheaper it will be. The north of the island it is still cheaper but the prices are starting to rise very quick.
Hello Johann! You can see Rui’s comment below of the prices around the island. Of course, if you don’t live in Funchal you would have to figure out how often you will be coming to Funchal, that cost and factor it in. We know some people who rarely do and love country life! We know others who love their place outside Funchal, but are driving to Funchal almost everyday. One couple has also purchased a small apartment to have somewhere to stay in Funchal. It all depends. Seems like a good price for a large, modern T1 with Internet included and walking distance to downtown. Can't ask for much more if Funchal is your area of choice. It would be interesting to see a comparable T2 apartment in Funchal.

Great info. For a T1 its pretty big and luxurious. Normally for the sq ft most will squeeze a T2. Of course the rents are edging on the high side.

That is a nice place but that refrigerator is a dealbreaker for me, even for just two people. Everything else there is really nice especially the bedroom and bathroom.

Unclear to me. Street parking or a garage with unassigned spaces? I’m guessing the latter. That said, we could see ourselves in this space once we move this fall. Old Town is great. And having a Continente at the end of the block is a bonus. Thanks so much!

Hi, subscriber from Norway here!. Been following you guys ever since your start Very informative and a great channel. On our last Madeira trip we went to see an apartment (for buying). When we arrived we recognized the view. It had to be one of your neighboring apartments, but we were put of as it was on top of an auto repair shop.
We are returning in a couple of days to look at a fifth floor T2 next to Mercado de Lavradores. The square meter price is high, but location is grand isn`t it? Would you consider living in the old town? We are buying first as an investment and maybe AirBnB, and would like a place more remote when we take the leap as you both have... What do you think?

Hello Texas Doug! Definitely less expensive if you find an apartment outside of Funchal. The cost would depend on the location outside Funchal on the island. Thanks for making this informative video! Love to see more! Nice apartment space, style and location, unfortunately the small fridge and lack of dedicated parking is a big negative for long term rental... might be just fine for vacationers. Perhaps this was developed for that in mind?
Hello! Yes was totally developed for Airbnb type rental and now looking at long term renting. We would buy a college fridge to have additional space. Hello guys. For a T1 that is a massive space. however, someone compromised on the space for the fridge and the size of the bedroom. I didn't see a freezer? And not having a designated parking space is a no for me. However, it will suit someone who doesn't cook much and doesn't have a car.
There's a tiny freezer built into that tiny fridge.

Too small the refrigerator, the stove is not big enough at all, not water and electricity included is a big no no. You didn't informed if they can rent for a three month stay or so, just for someone that would like to go and scope the place out.
