Karl's compositions should be listened to all over the world, they are of an impressive sensitivity and knowledge!
Thank you so much, Yair!
Man, you've made my mom cry! I've been telling my mom (A classically trained musician) virtual orchestra's are reaching very close to realism, and she wouldn't believe me, so I played her this, and it's safe to say she's convinced now.
That's quite possibly the nicest compliment imaginable! Thank you for sharing this, it means a lot. And say hi to your mom! :)
A masterpiece by all standards. Perfectly recapitulates what makes romantic era and early film music so excellent. Beautiful. And the sound library is great too.
Thank you very much!
This is insanely detailed and beautifully produced. I feel like transcended to heaven while listening to it. Bravo!!
Thank you so much! Knowing that my music has that effect on someone means a lot to me. Thanks for letting me know!
This is so inspiring. I luv it. The Cinematic Series are just the best, and it happens to be BF.
This is well done and the overall writing and mixing is great! I'm getting some slight Ravel vibes from this!
Thank you, Andrew! Yes, Ravel was a big source of inspiration for this piece.
This piece is just... wow, no words for this inspirational composition, it has a very fairytale-like feel and very romantic with a very pure melody. The end feels very inspired by Holst; The Planets; Venus. This is a very fenominal piece of music for this time period. Make sure to keep striving!
unbelievable
The midi programming here is absolutely stellar! The strings are especially convincing which is such a rarity in sampling. beautiful composition and mixing too!
Thank you, Louie! I'm glad you liked it. I'm a big fan of your content.
@@karlaskmusic you’re welcome! That’s so lovely to hear, I’m glad you like it, thanks Karl
A wonderful showcase of Cinematic Studios' products bro.... beautifully composed, orchestrated and programmed but mother goose definitely wants her golden ending back... 😊 That said, M. 25 is quite the silky swoon(!) and that's all you. Awesome.
Thank you! Haha, yes, Mother Goose was an obvious influence here and I haven't tried to hide it. I find that the best way to learn from the greats is to take what you like and try it out in your own pieces.
Wonderfully crafted piece! Really like the reference to Ma Mére l'Oye in the end.
Thank you! Yeah, I definitely took some inspiration from that ending; one of the best out there. Glad you noticed it!
Wow!!!
very nice!!!
I have no words to describe how beautiful this is...
Thank you, Nicolas!
Amazing! The layering on the strings really sells them big time. The percussion sounds really nice too. Awesome programming and of course composition!
Mate, I think this is the first recording I’ve come across by any composer (professional or otherwise) whose mockup doesn’t sound like a plasticky, MIDI-esque imitation of the real thing. (maybe an orchestration which had actual effort put into it helps, IDK). As it sounds now, this could be an underscore for any big-budget Hollywood production, and I wouldn’t raise an eyebrow. Shows how far technology has come. I achieved some great results with layering CCS and CCS solo, but nothing close to this. I would actually pay money for an in-depth tutorial on how you produce. Do you input the instruments one by one by hand (by that I mean keyboard) into the DAW?
Wow, thanks! That’s very kind. My workflow is that I first compose and orchestrate using Dorico. Then I play each line individually into the DAW, making sure that each instrument gets its own unique performance. It certainly isn’t the fastest way to do it, but I find that this workflow gets the best results for me personally. Don’t hesitate to reach out if you have other questions!
Yes, couldn't agree more. This has become one of my favourite classical pieces of all time.
I second this! Great score.
And honestly, I hate how so many people MIDI just a "Mock up," like no - MIDI instruments, especially Cinematic Studio Series can be a full blown score, not just a "mock up."
amazing
Wow, beautiful, this piece really does justice to Cinematic studio series.
Thank you!
Wow Karl. Yours are SERIOUS skills. Hats off to you. It made me look at the painting from a completely different perspective. Thank you.
Your grace and sensitivity are really something. Congrats on library programming too. Strings sound extraordinarily convincing. I usually layer CSS with CSSS, and sometimes have tried with other people to add Pacific in longs, but never got it to sound quite like you. Do you use standard mic mix or tweak it a bit?
Just discovered your channel through VI forum. Fantastic pieces you're writing and as many others have commented on the expertise you display. Great writing, orchestration and performances.
Thank you very much, Steve! I’m glad to hear that you like my music.
Very nice sound, listening on phone. I like your motive work. Good mood throughout, and start to finish structure. Thanks!
Breath taking work! Enchanting, mysterious, and utterly captivating! I use Cinematic Studio Series and you would have had me fooled if you told me this was a live recording.
Thanks for your kind words, Wesley!
This is really a powerful source of inspiration for every composer out there. Thank you for posting this.
Thank you, Rafael! Being able to inspire means a lot to me.

Just listened to a few of your pieces; this is absolutely gorgeous, as is the symphony sketch, as is the Larghetto from a few years ago. Subscribed :)

This piece reminds me of my Beautiful childhood memories..... This sounds so awesome!!!

Top-notch mock up and composition. Love your work!
How did you blend the string libraries to sound so smooth?
Thank you, Dylan!
@@dacomposer I used only the AB mics in Pacific and brought it down -9 dB. That’s just enough to get that lush sound.
@@karlaskmusic Thank you for sharing! you really nailed a natural beautiful sound...if I didn't know it was a mockup I would have never guessed. Just superb.

A wonderful, delicate and sensitive piece. Congratulations . I'm subscribed ( Julio Moschen)

Wow, your production quality is top notch! If I heard this for this first time (not knowing sample libraries were used in this), you definitely would have fooled me in to believing this to be a real recording of an orchestra! This is some underrated work! hope to hear more of your work soon 😅
Thanks for your kind words! Stay tuned, there will be more for sure...
