You actually get some type of personal conn. with the characters and stuff, and actually care bout em. But The Pacific, I couldnt get into. Couldnt even care bout the characters because none of them were connectable or anything if you know what I mean
I know what you mean. With BoB you genuinely 'Felt' for the troops , eg, when that useless Lieutenant completely lost control during the attack on the German held town after Bastogne and the 1st Sgt got a battlefield Commission because HE was literally running E company whilst the cowardly Lt. was always hiding back at HQ.
Withe the Pacific i got less a sense of comeraderie and more a sense of the individual soldier, which didn't seem to be as 'realistic' as BoB.
750 miles from Japan Iwo Jima was a major stepping stone in the Pacific Theater, approximately 110,000 U.S. Troops attacked the 22,000 Japanese defenders. U.S. Command thought the battle would be no longer than 3 days, but it turned out that it was "36 days of hell" from the words of fighters on the island

Landing armour was fighting on the beach, but navy landing boats left the beach after the marines land.
This channel honestly deserves way more credit than it gets diplex puts alot of effort in these videos.

I think tjis is really difficult to manage an entire wave of marines on a fucking beach who is constantly under the fire of heavy artillery. But this is also right that diplex play like a french general at the begening of the great war :"Advance and fuck them, hold the line,and make the ranks closer !

OM Deplix you goofed Iwo Jima was one of the most peaceful landings the marines were not under any fire when they landed the firefights only started later after the troops had landed.

This is BY FAR the most bloodiest out of all the Robz Realism Mod game plays by Diplex.
Books about Iwo emphasize how the beach assault was really just the start of it. The Japanese fortified the whole island with interlacing rings of defences and tunnels rather than just the beach, which is why it was such a meatgrinder. What a horrible place to fight...

Wave after wave lands on Iwo Jima. Each one more scared than the last. Hell, can you blame them? They just saw the waves before them get cut up trying to land on this fucking beach. God damn. War is hell
The battle isn't over... Why did you cut so much out? Full battle please! Also left flank was pretty weak since you won't be exposed to enfilade fire. Throw grenade in to the MG nest, then bum rush the remaining bunker and you have breached the defenses. Flanking with such numbers will be much easier.

my great grandfather was on iwo and he said it was the single worst thing he ever endured in his life
Yeah, my great uncle was a machine gunner with the first wave. By the end of the campaign he was the only survivor of his original platoon. He was also only 19.

I just realised that people that landed on beaches probably never went to a beach and swam or watch their kids swim because of the Experian from the landing.

Medic is more of an army term, you should have said a corpsman, as the navy attached them to marine units for support.

D, Man I know what it takes to do all of this, but they make so many mistakes, and yet still look so wildly amazing. I love it. The waves coming in should be faster, the idea is to flood the beach head forcing troops to move in rather than stack up. Programming might make them attack, not sure. Many useless deaths on the beach. And yet I'm sure the real thing doesn't come out much better. Confusing has got to be endless. Fear is tremendous. And they can't swim well in suited up, so that's a fail, but very cool. lol.. I wanna do this so bad. lmao

You could in the editor by pressing NUMPAD numbers, but you couldnt do it in the normal game

A good idea for the next beach attack like this you should send 2 heavy vehicles and 1 vehicle full of troops.So at least the heavy vehicles take out some defenders and act as cover.Then send in landing crafts for the main attack right being them.
The beach landings weren't that much crazy like your ones becauae before landings there were loots and loots of destroyer bombardment,but in Normandy there weren't any because it was an suprise attack.

I have an idea for your next "series".
Since you were saying recently that you need fresh ideas, how about a brand new thing?
You follow a platoon, brigade or a regiment of the USA, UK, Germans or any other nation. They have some tanks, some static weaponry and you follow them through a small campaing.
For an example, a German motorized detachment, fighting in the east. You follow them through 4 - 5 battles in the east and conclude the series by either making them all die or be victorious. They should have limited tanks and BTRs and such, but you can make it so that they are resupplied sometimes, with troops and veichles. Just a suggestion!

For those of you who didn't know the Japanese waited a good 5-10 minutes for the Americans to get settled in on the beach so they could clump up and cause panic amongst the marines when they opened fire causing more deaths

You should've hit start after the Americans landed. In the actual battle the Japanese waited for quite some time after the Americans landed.
There should be a control that tells a squad to get online and bound forward.
