    Most powerful and poppy legal wide body?

      I appreciate it man, thank you! I like how every series they release is somewhat different other than just shape. They try to innovate.

    Thanks for your review!! I played with original R2.16 for a long time and loved the paddle shape and crazy amount of spin. I upgraded to Ruby for more power but not totally satisfied with it. I definitely want to upgrade now to the new R2 Pulsar!! Thanks!!

      R2.16 was like a pillow. Incredibly soft, no power at all haha. But the R2 FX, definitely a big upgrade. I think you'll be happy.

      @@zachcarmichael699 my thoughts exactly! I tried to go back to R2.16 recently and felt like I was hitting with a pillow 👍

    Does the r2 have a lower trajectory on drives like the r1?

    Great review. I was lucky enough to be able to Alpha Test the R2, and I'm super excited to get my retail R2!
    Even though I played with the heavier Alpha paddle I would agree with pretty much everything you said.
    Resets at the net are a little more than my Nova R3. Still very very controllable. Mid court resets though.. this thing is a mid-court reset monster.
    And, if you are lucky enough to combine this paddle with a Selkirk Pro S1 ball... top spin serves are nuts. ;-)
    Also, the 5.5" handle even with the steeper throat R2 is still very comfortable for my fat hands when using the 2h backhand.

      I appreciate it thank you! Ronbus did a great job with their R2 fx for sure lol.

    Hi. Is the Rhombus R2 easy to flick? I just returned the JK because it was head heavy and seem to be hard to flick even though I love the drives on it. It just didn’t do it for me and that I couldn’t get enough top spin acceleration to keep the ball in unless I totally changed my natural swing. I’ve been using the Forza two and then I went to the 14 mm to try to get more pop at the kitchen, but now I’m sacrificing serve speed.

    Widebody paddles are great for beginners because the sweet spots tend to be larger, the balance points are better than enlongated, and the hand speed should be better in general. Gruvn and Electrum also have widebodys which get great reviews and have good specs/prices.

    SO, is the difference between the Fx and previous model of the Pulsar - the core, and this increases dwell time? Really like my Pulsar. Oh, and of course, still working on the water thing!

    • @FarmerLankyPickleball
      @FarmerLankyPickleball  Před 2 měsíci

      It's not the core. The core is still made of the same stuff but there's a grid between the paddle face and the core that helps with spin and dwell time. It's always a struggle to stay hydrated lol

    I've been using the R1 Pulsar for over a year now and love the feel of it, but I am interested in some of the new stuff coming out. Was looking at the R1fx or the Azul. How do they compare to the R1 Pulsar?

    • @FarmerLankyPickleball
      @FarmerLankyPickleball  Před 2 měsíci +1

      The R1 fx is the most powerful out of the 3. The Azul face is stiffer than this paddle and the R1 pulsar. This paddle gets the most spin between them all

    • @SirDinksAlot
      @SirDinksAlot Před 2 měsíci

      I also personally feel that the resets/blocks are a LOT more controllable on this paddle than the original Gen2 R1/R3 Pulsar. Power when you want it, but soft enough when you need it. I could never adjust the original pulsar. I was always blocking long, or resetting high. (My own personal issue). I do not have that issue at all with this paddle.

    How would you compare the plushness of the R2 face vs the Volair M2 Forza? Control vs M2 Forza? Thanks.

    • @FarmerLankyPickleball
      @FarmerLankyPickleball  Před měsícem

      The M2 Forza 16mm is definitely more plush than the R2 face is but the R2 face is still plush just not as much as the Volair. I don't think you'd be disappointed in either if you're looking for a plush paddle.

    I have the Forza Mach 2 16mm and want a bit more pop without sacrificing control or drive speed, is the R2 the 1 or should I wait? Have you tried the Apollo yet?

    • @Nauptwellness
      @Nauptwellness Před 2 měsíci +1

      M2F 16 is my main paddle, just played first session with FX2 and so far I'm impressed. It's got more pop than M2F, but it's very controllable, I was still able to shape the ball well. Similar pop to my CRBN 3X, but more accurate and spin friendly. My serves still dip, and there is power from the baseline. There is very small amount of loss of hand speed at kitchen, but it makes up for it with punch volleys, and put away power. I'm looking forward to playing more games with it.

    • @HowieB-isMe3885
      @HowieB-isMe3885 Před 2 měsíci

      The Apollo is lighter swing weight and has greater twist weight. Waiting for more people to have tried it

    Is R2 power compared to the Scorpius gen3, Apollo, J2K, M2F?

    • @FarmerLankyPickleball
      @FarmerLankyPickleball  Před 2 měsíci +3

      I haven't hit my Apollo yet. I will say it does have less power than the scorpius gen 3 but it's got more power than the m2f. I'd say it's in between those 2 tbh but a tad bit closer to the m2f.
